Problem solved!

Anyone see Fev in action tonight? Amazing!

I think we should push hard for him this trade period. Perhaps offer Yarrawonga pick 4 for him and a $700,00 per year contract to entice him back into the game? Could go very well down there next season in a support role with Clark.

Thoughts?

We only need a fillip for a year or two, as Cook, Williams, Fitz, Watts, TMac come on.

What do we need a has been for?

This week takes the cake for bad threads.

School holidays have synced up in Vic, NSW and Qld this week...

I believe Fev's pie budget may be a sticking point in the contract negotiations.

You do forget how good the big fella was, can kick the pill.

not everyone got the joke !!

not everyone has a sense of humour

nor for that matterr does everyone have sense.

personally i reckon you could get away with a second round pick !!

I still believe we should get Nathan Ablett...he was best on ground for Werribee over Casey! BOG :)

Oh man, oh man. I thought the sentence "perhaps offer Yarrawonga pick 4 for him" would have made it clear that I was taking the urine!

It really has been a tough year for the MFC and consequently the Demonland faithful...

I think you needed to add a reference to Phil Scully and massive amounts of food to make it clear it was a joke. Or maybe add Bate into the mix. A player and a draft pick is always a more entertaining discussion.

I actually think Fev could and should be able to play in the AFL for a couple of years yet. Cant see anyone giving him a run though

(Note to self. In future wait til Demons have won at least over 10 games in a season before attempting humour in Demonland even if it is in an attempt at lifting the sad spirits of the forum.)

Or maybe come up with some better material?

Seriously hope your taking the p*ss, Nathan Ablett is the definition of a spud - and one of the softest players

I have seen play the game, both mentally and physically.

Have to agree, we could swap our whole list for Fev, and wouldn't be any worse off.

To be honest there have been so many terrible terrible threads at the moment that i didn't even begin to think it was a joke.

Edit: It was a terrible joke anyway.

Yarrawonga was a giveaway - I had a chuckle but I must admit, he's still an amazing kick!!

The twats weren't born when 'ology locked up the sign-up feature and threw away the key.

It's getting me homesick.

lance whitnall is a better option... looking the goods the other night

what do you suggest?

I know, how many Demonland members does it take to change a light bulb?

ANSWER:

None. Because they were all too busy arguing with one another about whether Jack Watts will "make it" or not that they didn't even realise the bulb had blown and they were sitting in the dark!*

BA-BOOM-TSCH!

Thank-you, thank-you, i'm here performing until Melbourne wins it's next premiership.

So looks like you will have to put up with me for a while!

*please note that in light of recent circumstances and keeping jokes fresh, the line "whether Jack Watts will "make it" or not " can be substituted for "what draft pick to use on Jack Viney" or whatever is relevant at the time.

Monky shed 10 kilos for the match! He's now down to a trim 140kgs - the guy looks like he's been eating furniture.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
