Jamar, first kick you big spud.

Best game by Joel Mac all year.

Daniel Nicholson has just played the best half of football i've seen from a Melbourne player this year.

Well done boys. Nice to see you having a bit of belief in yourselves. Prove all the doubters wrong, please!

Have next week off to work on your acting skills Leroy Jetta

Sylvia must have a big second half

Reckon his endeavor has been a lot better so far though, just needs some stats to back it up

I'll sink to boot in again - Sylvia has been awful so far. When the bloke behind you has an easy run at the ball for a mark, don't come out and f*cking spoil him FFS.

The kids and Rivers are keeping us in it.

Great to see the team leave the ground as one at half time with their heads held up!

I know most people see good games as kicks and handballs but i think you will find Sylvia's role tonight is to try and lead fletcher away from the ball. So playing the decoy forward. He did it well in the 2nd qtr.

Nicholson, Macdonald, Morton and Moloney all doing well. T Mcdonald worries me with the ball. Love Garland forward.

I would love eyes in the back of my head too! You need to call for the ball otherwise the player does not know you are there.

Love how posters here pick out one moment and use it to say that player has been awful all game...

Sylvia has been ok, not good, but ok, the effort has been there at least and he's looking hungry for a change

No way in hell was that a free to Gus. Umpire's goal.

While we are ahead, they have had a lot of scores. Kick straight and they will kill us.

That being said, loving Watts, Blease and Nicholson.

Some of the people on Demonland couldn't be positive if there lives depended on it.

Amazing that when Moloney does touch the ball how much better we look.

How true it is. The first game when he's looked like he's given a genuine toss and we look infinitely better.

I don't think anyone has let us down tonight, everyone is having a dip. Another half to go.

Watts is going to be a superstar - having another great game.

All of you who constantly bag him, get stuffed.

Garland up forward is good too.

I'm loving this game - c'mon Dees!!

Watts 16 possessions and reading the play well down back. Garland doing well up forward. Strange days indeed.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
