When is a draw a win or a loss

Often we come away feeling lucky to escape with a draw if the game ends that way. But there must be situations when a team comes away feeling that it is a loss. Can there be a situation when both come away feeling like losers.?

I figure it could be this week, Dogs verses Demons. Both are desperate for a win, becasue if they don't win, one wonders how bleak will it be looking for that first win.

I don't think it really does...let me put it this way.

In such a situation the draw benefits Melbourne as without the percentage they would be down in 5th if they'd lost the game.
