As long as the umpiering is fair, then it doesn't matter who we play.... Is there a game next week?

Well we know that is not going to happen :) I would like to play a North, someone around abouts where we are, get a better gauge of where we really are at going into the season proper.

Won't be in Adelaide coz the final is going to be there. Wouldn't mind the Tigers...

Did you see what they did to the Cats today and what we failed to do to the Hawks today??? I'd rather not play them when they're up and about, and give them a mental edge over us coming into the season.

Yerh but we normally play well against the tigers...

That is definitely true, but as I said, they do seem up and about, and it would break my heart to lose to them in the last rd of NAB.

As long as it is on a decent ground (safe surface) it doesn't really matter, does it? It is another practice match: if we do well the optimists will take heart, if we do poorly the pessimists will slash their collective wrists.

So who would we like to see the D's take on next week?

Personally, I like the idea of Port Adelaide in Adelaide.

North down south @ Bellerive oval...

gotta say, port has greater midfield depth and class than we do.

we'd kill for a player of boak, hartlett, or gray's class.

we have far too many cassisi and kornes types, and not anything like the class of those three mentioned.

Really? Cassisi gets his own pill and Cornes will be remembered for being the hard nut nagging stopper. And we have......?

I would agree with this and honestley every club apart from maybe essendon has two mids with more class than any of ours even gws !! but I guess we just have to be smart with trading and our use of these compo picks

We will get pumped by port Adelaide. 2012 will be a long year

They fixed us up only a few months ago and we will be putting most of the same cattle on the park

But you are right 2012 is already looking bleak

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
