No disrespect to the current crop on the demonland banner but I believe Jack Grimes should also feature.

I know it's not as simple as banging up a photo but just thought if you guys have any upgrades or refreshes due soon that it would be a good sign of respect.

Agree and had requested this be done when the new capts were announced last week.

Grimes should go in.

But am I right in thinking we didn't have Green there for all of last year? After all, he was the captain.

Grimes is out of the banner injured

I'm surprised I haven't seen the official banner updated with Frank "Grimey" Grimes.

What's the holdup? Is it copyright that's holding up proceedings? Or a server issue?

Done

you can thank me later :-)

I know it's shocking isn't it, i have the syringe and absynthe ready...

How about just putting up the whole leadership group, with our head Coach,,, bookended with some of Our AFL Legends.

There's only one guy that can update the banner (Andy), and with him having a family, a job and a life, I'd say it'll happen when he gets around to it. Everyone can just wait patiently in the mean time.

Psh....I can't imagine any of those things being more important than an online footy forum.

One small issue is that the template used for Demonland is a variable width template which means it adjusts to the screen width of the device being used.

The player image part of the banner is approx. 900 pixels wide, and if you veiw DL on an iphone or ipad which has a screen width of 1024 pixels, Beamer only just appears.

Unless Grimes replaces an existing player eg Beamer or JW and instead is simply added at the end (as DD has done), he will not appear on the aforementioned devices.

My suggestion would be to replace JW with JG. DD may also notice that players on the RHS of the banner face left, so I'd think there would be a better image of Jack available.

Maybe if the image attributes were a percentage of screen width (or table row/table data width) it may solve that issue. I guess it depends on how it affects the rest of of the page layout

Sometimes you never know with templtes till you give it a crack and see what weird and wonderfull things happen as a result

Edit: spulling

Or now that Jimmy has stepped down, Neeld could be moved left and Grimes in. Suggestion. Don't wish to upset the natives.

... You know you can just drink absynthe yeah? Cut out the middle man

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
