Atlantic Jewel just about matches BC for sectionals and speed.

We have a contender.

We are blessed to have 2 such extraordinary mares (filly) at the same time. Atlantic Jewel has made a star like Mosheen look second rate.

Heard that they could possibly meet in next years CF ORR stakes. If true it will be must viewing. Much to happen before then though,

Looks like we've got our wish. June 23 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

TAB Odds:

Black Caviar(Aus) $1.40

Ortensia (Aus) $8

Foxwedge (Aus) $11

Sepoy (UAE) $11

Moonlight Cloud $13

Hoof It (UK) $15

Bated Breath (UK) $15

Temple of Boom (Aus) $15

-HSun Adrian Dunn

Foxwedge and Ortensia are unlikely starters apparently, but it looks like Sepoy and BC will meet.

No Frankel, that's disappointing.

I have been to Newmarket twilight races before and it is a beautiful straight.

I won more than 500 quid that night and got a massive skinful and then watched a Pet Shop Boys gig held there.

Hilarious night with two other Aussies.

I reckon we might trifecta the race .

Just watch the OZ story on BC with Gerard Whately ,who makes me queezy .

I did not know that Sheedy is a co-owner of Bel Esprit.

Sickening .

Watched Aust story. Very good.

Frankel runs tonight in the opener group 1 Queen Anne Stakes (1600m) for 11 wins on the trot.

trainer Sir Henry Cecil, has found himself having to defend his champion's record amid claims he has been racing against poor quality opposition. Peter Moody, trainer of Black Caviar, knows all about this debate.

In BCs case she has been well placed in all her races.

However -No time records

No weight records

No stepping out of her comfort zone.

Opened up a gap of 11 lengths over 150m.

What a horse ...

Fortunate enough to be there, HT. Wow!!! BC in the 2011 Lightning was awesome, but today was eye-popping. The "disadvantage" BC has in this comparison with other stars is her relative fragility. UK commentators are saying that a smart bet is BC at > 5 lengths, but to me that doesn't reflect an understanding of the management of the horse. To Moody's credit, he does what has to be done, and doesn't push her to the limit. One of the leading jumps trainers said he couldn't wait to see her, as he couldn't believe that a sprinting mare could come in from the paddock at more than 600 kgs, way more than his sturdy top jumpers.

I am so jealous !

That was an amazing race last night. Frankel had a pace setter in place. But geez, pace setter or not that was unbelievable. The field wasn't a crack field (see Helmet), still a dominating run. No wonder it's ranked the best in the world. 11 straight.

Notice the jockey rode it out all the way. I'd like to see Luke Nolen do that to Black Caviar on Saturday (Sunday night our time). She's on show to the world, give her a crack Luke !

Frankel certainly smashed them last night. I dont think BC will win by that kind of margin as Moody doesn't ever want her injured or even stretched .He has a record to protect and grow. It is a real pity Bart handed over So You Think to Aiden O'Brien .Had Bart been a younger man he may have kept So You Think a bit fresher and zippier for a battle with Frankel .O'Brien seems to have dulled SYTs edge a bit with his arrogance . I hope he can get a win before going to Coolmore to service a Harem .If Nolen stays on then BC will keep the streak going-no doubt . I've got a soft spot for SYT ever since he won the Cox Plate at 3 (at 20-1). Americain got lucky in the Cup that year as SYT never settled and still held 3rd. Wish my wife would let me put the deposit on BC but then again,I don't have the nuts for big wagering .How did Ortensia go?

Ortensia apparently faded and finished back in the field.

The track was "dead" and Frankel finished in 1.37.85 over te Ascot mile. Track record over te mile at Ascot 1600m is 1.37.16 (which was recorded on a good track).

Helmet finished 15 lengths behind him.

Imagine BC ,Frankel ,SYT over a mile .What a race that would be .

Geez, that would be dubbed race of the century.

Did I read somewhere SYT is going to stud after this race tonight ???

Agree on your comments re: Bart. Don't think Bart was too happy when his longtime owner mate went to O'Brien. Hope it wins anyway. Feel for Bart.

O'Brien seems to have dulled SYTs edge a bit

Apparently O'Brien's son, Joseph, who rides SYT, suggested to the old man that the horse be trained to take advantage of his turn of foot, rather than building endurance.

Let's see how that plan has worked.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
