Mark Neeld to appoint whoever the ..... he likes. I want to see him given the reins to the whole footy dept. Blind faith...maybe, I just sense that he is the right man for the right time at the MFC.

With Neeld, Viney and Royal (and possbly Craig) I'd be going for some youth straight out of the game, not that I would have any clue, but some likely types:

- Leigh Brown: knows the Collingwood way and wants to coach

- Michael O'Loughlin, Craig Bolton, Brett Kirk: some Bloods culture and knowledge

- Darren Milburn, Tyson Edwards, Brady Rawlings: got the absolute most out of themselves in long successful careers

As my position has always been, I have no idea what a good coach looks like or who that might be. I'm not going to pretend that I do and name names.

I do hope Neeld is able to surround himself with some really talented help though. I want the whole team leading this club to be strong, not just the senior coach.

Edit that post again to get rid of Terry Wallet. He would be THE WORST appointment.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week. WAYNE RUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS No Ollie, Chin, Riv today, but Rick & Spargs turned up and McDonald was there in casual attire.     A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
