Just wondering if it is just me being optimistic and bias but I having been tossing up for days if I should tip us. Sitting 2nd in two comps and I have a strong feeling we will stand up and beat this mob but then again probably more hope than anything. After last week don't know how I could even think about tipping us, but after all, the week after a belting is the only time we seem to play well.

I don't normally tip Melbourne, especially against top 4 teams. But this week i'm tipping them, just because if we do win I can say I tipped them.

Go Dees.

I'll stick to my 1 pt Dee win prediction. Theres no logic really to it as stated elsewhere. It just strikes me as the inane annoying and infuriatling frustrating type of thing Melbourne will do..

I wouldn't do it if I was in your position mate, too risky.

Consider the percentages. If you tip against them and they win you've lost nothing because no-one else will tip them but there's a far greater chance of you tipping another upset over the next 5 weeks.

Was thinking the same, nice post. If they do win i'll be ecstatic anyway.

yes..I agree.. but at this end of the tipping season sometimes you need to take the maverick bets. ...

Would I put real money on them ????:unsure::rolleyes:

Im Leader by three in my comp and there is no doubt that you have to pick Carlton. i will be over the moon if we get up, but come on its very unlikely, just quietly Carlton go alright.

One thing I do like is that this is the first game for a long long time where both of our most dangerous players - Scully and Davey - are in the team. Both need to be tagged, but it's a risk to tag them both, especially if they play a large part of the game on the ball together.

It's time for the likes of Green & Moloney to step up as leaders should and play the games of their lives too. They'll never have a better opportunity to bury their reputation as "flat-track bullies".

Still think that if we can get within 10 goals we'll be doing well. But you just never know ...

I've only mis-tipped one MFC game this year......I thought Richmond would get over us! I've tipped us tomorrow. Crazy I know, but something's gnawing away in my tipping mind that this is going to be the upset of the year. Emotional blindness? Maybe, but maybe not! If we all tip the Dees, you never know what power lies in the collective consciousness. And I've tipped Gold Coast at Skilled.....Naaaah, not really!

I love this sh!t. You're up there amongst the leaders because you have tipped more winners than most of your competition, yet now you're close to winning it you're going to change your tip based on who you think everyone else will tip!

How about you tip who you think will win? Will Carlton win, or Melbourne? That is the question. No extra points for clever tips or half points for your underdog almost getting up.

By the way, I'd tip the Blues if I were you (which I'm not)

I tip Melbourne to win every week that's why I'm sitting second in the Demonland tipping, that and the fact I forgot to put my tips in one week and got 1 instead of 7.

I dont see how another week of stress and bad feeling around the club will improve the team as mentaly weak as they are.

If they do win this week it will becuase the leaders have stepped up and draged them over the line. I know thats what judd would do.

Our leadders have a very poor track record but I would be estatic if they proved me wrong.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
