Just after some opinions. Working out my last spot in my forward line and need to chose from Darling (Ave 69.14 only 33 last week) Howe (Ave 76.60) and Tappy (Ave 69.50)

Leaning towards Tappy even though it's his first game back, as I still think he has more potential to rack up the possies than the other 2. But worried he may start as Sub and screw me. Any thoughts?

Is this for the rest of the season?

I'd go Darling. Not to put a knock on our boys, but it's Tappys first game back, and Howe is a marking forward in greasy decisions.

Oh nah sorry mate I have all 3, two of them need to go on the bench, just wondering who to start this week.

Howe. Has current form. Gets points with one percenters even when he's not getting heaps of footy

Darling's tapered off over the past month or more. I've benched him & am thinking of trading him

Tappy had dropped off a bit when he got hurt. The sub risk you mentioned is a factor as well

Yeah which ever I don't pick will score high!!! So on that theory I'll play Darling so Tappy and Howe have blinders, and I'm still happy!

Howe - I reckon he is going to smash a big 100 sooner rather than later.

Darling is tired & sore

Tappy - 1st game back might be an issue.

If that is your forward bench for the rest of the season you are in a good position.

Smokey forward for the remainder of the season - Jonothon Brown

Cheap & looking to be running into some handy form. Capable of 160 plus when firing.

I still have Darling, but reckon he's gotta go as his output has gone from brilliant for a 1st yr player, to just average. Howe has been a bit better, whilst Tappy had tapered off a little preinjury too. Not sure how Tappy will return, but I'm quite happy with Howe so far.

I have Jonno Brown after his second game back and is starting to peak thank god. And in all honesty what the hell are you still doing with tapscott and darling in your team. A decent downgrade is Ian Callinan from Crows. Comes back next week, 91k price rise after next game. Get on him. my worst forward is Jonathan Brown by the way and now he is starting to hit form. Form is temporary, class is permanent

Talia from the Crows is a good downgrade option. 92 points in his first game and will be given time to develop. A DPP also.

Yeah my backline was the issue this week as I have Puoppolo, Birchall and Suckling, all with the bye so had to bring in Dan Nicholson, Andy Otten and Nick lower. At least they are all playing but I'm used to chalking up the points when those Hawks kick to and fro each other round the half back line racking up 25-30 possies each. I really want to put Ablett as Captain but very unsure if he will play the full game, so prob go for pendles.

I decided to concentrate more on my mids and high scoring defenders. So to save some trades for finals I decided to leave Darling and Tappy there for now. They are on the bench anyway and besides I'm averaging 2096 a round thus far so this I'm traveling ok for now.

Talia will be a good pick-up late IMO.

I've gone for Nicky Dal as capitano.

get rid of darling, bring in callinan for next week. start howe on to be safe

Callinan in injured, he is now a definite for next week, will save the trade for now.

See? We do need a fantasy footy sub-section :D Luckily, my worst forward is Yarran. Should be averaging 90+, but I can't change that.

Depending on trades you should do a downgrade/upgrade - Tapscott and Darling > Talia and some premium.

Anyway, tough choice for captain this week. Not sure on Ablett. Maybe Pendles.

It'd be nice if you got a free trade for Heath Shaw. Pretty rough!

One of the most reliable defenders.

I reckon the majority of fantasy leagues will be forced to trade him now.

I'm down to 4 trades now because of his stupidity.

Ditto.

Was very keen on Pendles and Buddy, plus one quality back to finish off the side - with 310 in the bank. Now I'm 2 quality defenders short.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
