You made me think about mirkens so I just inspected my collection. I've been careless and the moths have got to them.

All this talk of mirkens has left a nasty taste in my mouth !!!!!

I think that says more about you than him Moonie!

That I don't know some ugly looking guy with a bad name?

Actually I do: Uncle Bitter!

Now as you all know, Uncle Bitter isn't one to betray confidences, so I'm keeping this among mates.

My very reliable sources tell that Biffen was before the courts today. ... (Again)

Let's just say it was for "anti social behaviour" .                                                     Which doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Anyway ... apparently Biffen pleads his innocence. Ha Ha Ha ...FMD .. if you have ever seen Biffen , the scruffy [censored] would immediately be considered guilty.

Second mistake. The smart mouth [censored] decides to defend himself!!

Final mistake. "It was all a misunderstanding" . Apparently hard evidence from the coppers suggested otherwise and poor old Biffo was done.

Well [censored] him I say!!

Uncle you realise that while Biffo was in court today some poor sod fell out of a window at the Gat head first! Once he leaves others in charge, the place turns to chaos. Why is he so persecuted by the plod?

FMD, Whorethorn have just declared that they are the 'underdogs' for the premiership this year.

Yeah, sure... Because they've come all the way from outside the 8 this year or the last 3 years to scrape into the finals?

Geez, quiet night here.

Big win for Casey and the womens all stars tonight . Things could be worse.

Haven't heard any more about Biffen - if he doesn't post for a few days we can assume he was locked up. No loss really.

BBO,

you will be disappointed to know I am free as a bird and had a wonderful weekend.

The wheels of justice turned slowly but the insanity plea coupled with my wish to have the charges upgraded to attempted genocide, and the case moved to the Hague raised a few eyebrows in the court,

I waited for several hours for my defence counsel to arrive and kept telling the clerk "My lawyer is running late"

Suspicion was arrived at when I listed my representative simply as "Redleg"

Never again will I attempt to burn down Etihad.

It's something of a Yossarian situation.

You couldn't be insane if you wanted to burn down Etihad!

Strange world we live in.

Uncle Bitter has little else to do ATM, so allow me to share the following with you.

An article in the Weekend Orstralian highlights author, Susan Faludi's reaction to her father having a sex change at age 76.

......." my father stood in the doorway in her crimson bathrobe".

Was it a proper sex change or did he just learn that trick where you hide it between your legs?

Interesting that you raise that point Ethan.

There was an old football story about that very trick and the nickname of a famous footballer of years past.

I wonder how many here remember it.

Michael 'Tuck' or perhaps Robert 'Hyde'?

Uncle Bitters has done his job getting the lads impregnated dc. Now it's a waiting game to see if the outcome is worthy of the RMS... and more importantly, which category they fit into.

you shouldn't mock animal husbandry, moonie. apart from risking a severe rebuke from stuie, you should recognise that it is a very ancient and revered custom requiring great skills, stamina and patience

If you think you've got it PD, then you definitely haven't. Unless you look down and can see yourself in a straight jacket and your name is Randle McMurphy.

Time you went cold turkey and went back to pineapples rather than bananas.

I will out myself and declare Pineapples have always been my preference over bananas, though I do love a banana thick shake.

Strongly recommend pineapples indeed any fruit other than bananas. If you are tempted to have a banana after reading posts on this thread you know it's time to go cold turkey. Also time to go cold turkey if you start to develop an affectionate feeling toward any of the posters, one in particular. And, if after a period of time, you begin to feel this is normal, you definitely need to seek medical advice.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne

After four weeks on the road the Demons make their long awaited return to the MCG next Sunday to play in a classic late season dead rubber against the North Melbourne Kangaroos. Who comes in and who comes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
