Dear Uncle Bitters ( or anyone else who can)

What do you know about Singapore ? Can you offer any suggestions for a three night stay. I will be there with the 'cheese and kisses' so bizarre kinky advice involving locals of questionable gender are probably out. It's our first time there.ย

Cheers

Aww c'mon pineapple. Your bio says you like pleasure seeking... you only live once!

Let your hair down a little, look what it did for our Bitters....

This is precisely what frightens me. Still, sound advice moon. Cheers!ย

Unfortunately I believe your qualifications "bizarre" etc may rule out any suggestions on this thread

Lets have a break from Uncle Bitters, he already thinks he owns this thread and only responds occasionally to maintain his brand image. I do have a mild affection for the man but I suggest a week free fromย UB comments. Redleg can to suggest a new idea.ย

Ernie I am at your beck and call.

Mrs. Redleg allowed me to buy a bunch of bananas yesterday and I am just sitting in the kitchen,ย looking at them and waiting for them to ripen, before devouring.

Welcome back to the honourable and innuendo free banana. I had a lovely sweetย organic banana on my muesli this morning. It was delicious. Redleg does Mrs Redleg like a ripe banana herself ?ย What about any little ย Redlegs? Wow this is such a healthy smut free post. No doubt we will be hearing fromย virtuous cleanskin Old Dee very soon. Wonder if anyone else will bite? No, I am not going to mention the obvious.

Ernie, are you hoping someone is going to burst into a verse of "I've got a lover-ly bunch of coconuts" or something?

This is just getting a bit too Shirly Temple-ish for me. I fear this new turnย threatens to sanitise the thread to death.

Unless the coconut songย morphs into a medley of Blueberry Hill - No Particular Place To Go - Paradise By The Dashboard Light and rolls into a rousing performance of The Good Ship Venus. Then we're back on track.

For true compliance with the theme of the thread, insert your own 'banana song'ย into the playlist wherever you wish.ย

I have it on good authority that our Bitters (sounds a bitย like "our Kylie", but I digress) is alive and well and enjoying the company of many young, er, shall we just call themย attendants,ย at a luxurious 2 star resort in good old Singers. Apparently the Tiger beers areย taking a pounding beside the pool while theย missus is off shopping for his new wardrobe. Hope the tailors don't run out of leather!

So you're saying the missus is a 'He'?

I always wondered.....

Orchard Towers aka the four floors.

As there appears to little else of interest happening in the world , I shall give a comprehensive coverage of my Asian adventures shortly.

Stand by for a moment of rare edification

Then a spot of cricket of brandy down the club followed by Gin Slings at Raffles.

He will make his way to the Lee family table in time.ย

If he ever leaves the four floors.

A peculiarity of taking in Orchard Street these days , one incurs an almost sense of deja vu as you progress. Seems every other block is a repetition of the same stores, albeit in slightly ย dissimilar buildings , but only marginally . Gone is the day you idled down from the Shangri-la to the big intersection and the timelessness of aforementioned Raffles.

Tis all rush rush rush now.

Not sure I'm bothered to go back. I do have differing tastes to UB alsoย ย :unsure:ย more tranquillity than tran.... something elseย

Ernie! Ernie you are but a wizened old ghost of your former womanizing boozing self!

"A break from Uncle Bitters" ???!!!

Where would you ( this thread, indeed the world of lesser mortals) be without the insights that my lurid experiences and misguided intellect provide?

Join me in the trough and joyfully wallow in the slime.

Sadly the only decent thing about Singapore these days is the jolly good floggings they deal out on a wonderfully regular basis.

And of course, it is still possible to purchase a splendidย rattan - if you know the right people

Good morning to all you cold climate dwellers . Rather warmer hereย in Batu Feringgi and Your ever reliable Uncle is still enjoying "la dolce vita" as the frogs say. ( thanks again Earl)

A lovely dinner last night at a place that actually had a decent though previously unknown to me Aussie Shiraz . Quenched the thirst rather nicely. The evening was so pleasant in fact that I enjoyed a [censored] after dinner - a Chinese one would you believe.

A note for Pickett . I would consider your ideas re "Bitter Fence" on two provisos ย 1. You have nothing to do with the actual business ย 2. Since you could hardly provide intellect , you would be expected to provide the start up capital.

A note for Earl Hood. I trust you are entertaining your new business partners Earl. As I said interesting fellows.

A note for dc. A lot of bluerinsers holidaying over here dc . Perhaps a break from Borewood would be beneficial?

Anyway must go. The sun is over the yard arm and the splash pool awaits

haha the censored was f a g as in rokok ย  ย ( Bahasa Indonesia )

On my recent holiday I was on a cruise with the owner of Baccardi Rum. He is a regular on these cruises. Next time we run into each other I will pitch him the concept of banana rum, it will revolutionize the world's drinking habits.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
