Just heard Nigel Smart From Adelaide on SEN talking about them using the state jumper against Port in the first Adelaide oval game in round two.

Now I must declare Adelaide are the top of my dislike list.

What a pack of Self appointed "the SA team" big heads.

Give me a break guys you are not South Australia, you are a club of the AFL coming out of SA.

I am considering buying a Port membership.

I will be cheering on Port in round two.

We've been playing in the State guernsey for the years except for one slight variation - it's a red V and not a white one.

I have never really liked Adelaide, possibly because of the 1998 finals series, but this arrogance of theirs takes the cake, scone and biscuit for mine ... I'll be cheering with you, OD.

I love their Captain though.

Hes a West Perth boy so he protected from me having anything bad to say against him.

Depends on if you want the best chance of a win or you want to see how the best teams play?

Robbo continues his fight with the AFL over the drugs issue in the Sun today.

That was a surprise considering it is the anniversary of the Blackest day in Australian sport.

There are a couple of good points in the article IMO.

One year on there has been only one charge and that to a Canberra player.

- No charges for either Essendon or Cronulla .

- ASADA is an under resourced and an underwhelming organization.

To me it beggars belief that one year on we have no charges.

Sorry OD I don't understand what you mean?

I head the word winning before but I don't remember what it actually means in terms of AFL games.

With regards to the WAFL, it involves singing, enjoyment and finally a Premiership but non of these things every happen at the AFL level.

I do know however, that the MFC mainly comes second so you could say its the second best team in the league.

Well I do like games where my heat shows heart, determination, commitment, endeavor.

Have seen that a fair bit from the teams we play.

I will put it simply for you

- Do you want to go to a game that the MFC have a reasonable chance of winning?

or

- would like to see a game where a team plays AFL at a high level?

It will be hard to pick which 5 or 6 games we will win next season but I would give it a go.

I pick winning OD

Here is my list DF now remember I have only picked Games at the "G"

Games we have a chance of winning

May 10 - Bulldogs

August 17 GWS

Games to see a good side that will play AFL very well.

April 26 - Swans

June 22 - North

July 12 - Cats

I thought about Queens birthday but Airfares will be high, G will be packed with Pies, You will be so high in the top tier you will need your own oxygen and you don't want to see us get done by the Pies.

Now watch everyone fall on me for those suggestions

As OD said, it depends on your definition of "best". QB will almost certainly have the biggest crowd, and there is certainly something in hearing a big roar (and even better the silence if we finally manage to knock off the Pies on the big day  ).

There is also something to be said for sitting near the fence when the crowd is small, and hearing what the players say to each other when the play is nearby.

For probability of winning, then the only standout for me is the Giants game late in the season. I suspect, though, if we beat the Eagles in round 2, you will wish that you were there then ...

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
