The best I can do is to try to find out whether they were suspended with or without pay.

BTW, does Stu's missus speak to reporters outside the front door of the family mansion?

Stu's Mrs, a very patient woman, will take it to the highest levels WJ.

I'm not sure Mrs BBO gives a rats anymore about him but I am reliably informed that he is applying for a job as an international sign language interpreter.

We can't let this happen-a war could eventuate.

It'll be mascara and Prince Alberts at 10 paces.

Keep BBOs hands tied, I say. He likes it that way.

Wouldn't it be funny if Stuie's missus was spotted speaking to reporters outside BBOs mansion. Tongues would wag on 'land.

i heard romsey are taking up a petition to reinstate bbo

apparently he has been running amok up there without his daily demonland meds

Went to training today and the boys looked good. Training appears a bit more intense and quicker than previously. More physical development was evident too.

I thought the same on Wednesday Redleg however it is hard to compared one season to the next as far as training goes.

Glad you are of the same opinion, confirms my thoughts.

Aussies struggling in the test. Need a big partnership from Smith and Haddin.

What odds was Mitch Johnson for highest bat?

At the moment he would need 61.

Haven't been down to training yet and probably won't until the new year but given that Dave Misson is still in charge of elite performance, it's to be expected that training is more intense this year. It's what he has consistently been saying about the progression in training after starting from a relatively low base a couple of years ago. This was always going to be the year when his training regime would start bringing about some concrete results.

He is 11s at the moment.

Get On!

I got 15s. When Smith was approaching 50. Smith now unbeaten on 103, Johnson 39*

Funny game cricket. Who knows? I thought Johnson playing at home was worth a chance when Warner was leading with 60!

He was at 26s for a minute(just before Haddin got out but he could well overtake Smith if he gets going.

Good luck*

*gamble responsibly.

Great knock by Smith. Warner having a good series. Johnson great again, this time with the bat and hopefully Smith and Mitch can put the match beyond the Poms in the first session saturday.

Haddin has reinvented himself.

That he has. Every innings he has played this Ashes series, he's gotten no lower than 50 runs.

A timely century from Smith, he needed to put in a good innings.

Rogers needs some good form with the bat and soon. So too Bailey.

As for Watson, looks like Tarzan............plays like Jane.

Thought Rogers was unlucky with that direct hit from side on, as he dived and missed out by inches on making his ground. He looked in fine form with 11 in 2 overs.

First session today will be very interesting. If we can survive and post a big score, the Poms may be completely demoralised and good bowling would most likely see us regain the Ashes.

Keep em in the heat and chasing leather and then put them out to face the pace

They may wilt under the heat of a sustained mitchattack

Today will be the critical day of the series

The poms made the fatal mistake of bowling short in Perth.....Lets hope we don't do the same.....

Funny, Johnson is the only one who hasn't taken a wicket.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
