Redleg,

You'll be delighted to know that I've put you down for a coaching position with the Demonland/Demonology team purely on the basis that one of our players is called "Bananas".

I will have to see where I am at. Currently being interviewed for Saints senior coaching position and Magpies senior assistant. My record precedes me.

If you are selected and take up either of those appointments, nobody around here will ever communicate with you again. It might just be the biggest decision you will ever have to make. Weigh it up carefully!

While reading Demonland I went on you tube and don't yell at me people but I have enjoyed can't Speak French by Girls Aloud. Good song and great visual. Now listening to Sly and Family Stone greatest hits. Better than bananas.

lol luv it

Unfortunately I know who you are listening to.

God we are old!

Is it just me or do others feel the same about trade week.

There are as many stories as people who want to create them.

I suspect that 90% of the stories we see are based on very little if any hard evidence.

So I will believe a story when it is proved to be a fact.

i.e. when a player is reported to have officially moved then it is fact up till then it just the figment of someone's imagination.

Same old dee. As Tim Harrington said about 2 % of the stories being floated around trade week come off and are true. The rest is really spak filler. Clearly it gets the blood pumping for some and like our resident member daisycutter it represents a chance to boost their post count. haha. :P;)

I think it would be worthwhile after 5pm Thursday and at the conclusion on Monday for results.

Apparently Cooney may have been on the table. Some reporter on SEN apparently i read it on Bf though.

Anyway this can be a sign of how bad degenerating knee injuries can be? what is Cooney 25 and could be a shadow of himself? struggled this year and apparently takes alot of pain suppressants to get a game in.

Will be changing the name of the thread to Not a TS, O'Meara or Crouch Thread.

You have my vote Redleg.

Maybe if we threw in 5 Kg of Banana's at the latest price along with pick 12 and one of our compensation picks. That might have done it. Sheeds loves banana's.

Forget pick 12 you had me with the 5KG of bananas

I mean they dont even have a fair dinkum song that lot..sheeesh !

Now changing to "Not a TS, JO'M, BC or MC Thread" to cater for that bloke from the Lions who prefers Yo ho Freo to It's a Grand Old Flag. He's got to be a cretin, surely?

I'm not suggesting you do this WJ, but an alternate title for this thread might simply be 'Bananas'. There seems to be as much discussion of that particular fruit as any other topic, and without wanting to mention names, I'm starting to think that some of the contributors (myself included) have gone a bit 'bananas'.

Edit: Proof that I'm more than a bit 'bananas'!

Bananas is already a tag for this thread and you're right - anyone who maintains their loyalty for the red & blue for a long time in the circumstances has to be bananas and a bit of a fruit loop.

The fact that Redleg and I post here just confirms this as a fact.

Speaking of Bananas, Mrs Redleg wanted to share a banana smoothie for lunch and I declined saying we had not traded anyone and there was nothing to celebrate. Skinny Latte was the substitute.

Hope we don't miss out on too many more players or the title of the thread will be too big for Demonland.

Saturday Banana Jokes ( I didn't say they were any good, but at least as exciting as trade week )

Why are bananas never lonely?

Because they hang around in bunches.

Why did the banana go out with the prune?

Because he couldn't find a date.

What's yellow and writes?

A ball-point banana.

What would you call two banana skins ?

A pair of slippers.

What is the difference between a banana and a bell?

You can only peel (peal) the banana once.

Why is a banana peel on the sidewalk like music?

Because if you don't C sharp you'll B flat.

After those jokes I am back off to the trading threads to see all of the trades we have done this week.

Saw a sign recently: "There are no bananas kept on these premises."

Can we get rid of the apostrophe in banana's please? It looks awful.

Canaan Banana's descendants will be disappointed to read that.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
