Red, was wondering if this mini Fritta bear (which I modified) could also be given protection…

Protection from Fritta that is. Everyone else thought it was funny, especially his parents. Fritta, not so much. He seemed most unimpressed.

Now i instantly thought someone remembers the great RDB    I am sure there were many more bears named Ronald  than Bayley

I do like this thread, everyone gets sh it on ,  but no offence taken or probably intended, But I do think BBO must have very broad shoulders,  I might well have been his accomplice 45 years or so ago  but Iife intervened

and there was nothing wrong with the 70's apart from the great MFC

I’d say that’s correct, MD. Way more Ronald bears. ❤️💙

Fun fact: Re jumper numbers: Fritta had 31, 33 and 35 available. His dad Scott wore #35 for his entire playing career with Coldstream (incidentally, he’s still the record holder for most games played), as did his brother Darcey and also Fritta at one point wore #35. So it was a no-brainer that he wanted #35. But the Club decided HP would wear #35 so Fritta got #31.

I'm not sure it's his "shoulders" that are broad.

That’s because we are all non discriminatory.

Oh contraire, I'll have you know I'm very discriminating, just not on this thread ..... although that may be counterintuitive.

He wears 7XL Kaftans. “Broad” is putting it nicely.

I have zero sympathy for him. He brings it all on himself. When I first joined DL he was so mean to me he had me in tears. I stopped posting. About a week later he PMd me with what I was sure would be an apology but all it said was “you need to harden the [censored] up”

Last night I went to my second sporting love with my daughter and no.1 granddaughter. It was a finals match between SEMelb Phoenix and Perth. Yes basketball. The first NBL match I have been to in a very long time. My daughter and I were Tigers fans from way back. When the owners dumped the Tigers to become Melbourne United we quit. My grand daughter loves playing and is good in her age group. She was barracking for the phoenix, I was very quiet because in the Tigers days SEMelb. we’re the mortal enemy. We had a good night and she is more into basketball than ever before. It was a good night but the razzmatazz was over done IMO. Too much and a lot of wasted effort. The other thing that surprised me was that it was not full. 80% but a do or die final and they could not fill the stadium. Oh Perth won after being behind most of the night. There is some justice in the world after all.

Wow a B'ball fan. I did not know that about you OD!

Was mad into the NBL as youngster and went to SE Melb Magic/Vic Titans games a bit. They lost me thought when Fiddes bought the Titans and rebranded as the Giants. Such a great rivalry with the Tigers but I had so much respect and admiration for that team as well.

Private ownership and rebranding killed off thousands of fans. After the demise of The Magic, my family never went to another game. As would happen if the same thing happened in the AFL. Never treat fan loyalty in a cavalier way.

As I said Ernest my first game since the demise of the Tigers, we go to watch our GD every game and I go to lower league matches.

I was a massive Magic fan, I went to so many SE Melb events at the time that the team and coach Brian Goorjian felt like family. Remember after home games at Rod Laver where everyone would gather around on level 1 and the team would do autographs and a few speeches? Felt like that happened every week,  the sense of community was amazing.

I Embraced the Titans because, well, it was pretty much the Magic plus D-mac. After that went sideways I just couldn't get around the NBL to that level again.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
