Are you taking your team of servants Uncle? Must be expensive to take such a large entourage. Lucky you are filthy rich...

Not that it's any of your business Moonie but I left the lazy buggers at home. They are a grieving over the maid it seems.

thought I might help out a few of the local poor folk but they are useless

Here I am in the wilds of Borneo ( only 4.5 star - can you believe) and when I request a red they serve up some Malbec cross bred from Argy land.Didn't Maggie teach them anything?

At least you can get a decent Rattan here, so I'll be handing out some jolly good thrashings

What is this anti Argentinian Malbec diatribe I am witnessing Uncle. Think yourself lucky to be offered such a luxury in the third world. Invariably drinkable in my experience.

Malbec! Bah! Leave it to those gaucho sheilas

l realise you have close connections to the 'old country' Earl but jingoism must come first

it is the sacred responsibility of Aussie blokes to slurp Shiraz at all times - except in times of urgent need when any slurp will suffice

Wouldn't mind some poetic justice tonight, seeing Shuey limp off, not to return, with a hammy or whatever, at the 2 minute mark of the first quarter.

See that Shuey didn't limp off,  but he did have a fairly quiet night for him. Some poetic justice.

Things are quiet on this thread ATM

I'd just like to let my many fans know that I successfully negotiated the perils of Borneo and am currently residing in colonial opulence in Singapore   The servants are satisfactory and my guts is returning  to a healthily bloated profile   Unfortunately the tinea is also ( along with a few other fungi I fear).

I have given up on Redleg's "cure" but I met a local lady who runs an establishment that guarantees satisfaction   I am confident of a happy resolution

I find Demonland so busy that I don't have the time to keep up with the number of threads and the volume of traffic.

I have to a large extent given up trying.

Is it just me?

Bad news for Moon and his colleagues.

As if they don't exist already.

It's the British way. Australia has inherited so much from the same British model, my dear friend.

Bold prediction -

Both Melbourne and GWS will score the magical 200 points in a game in 2018.  GWS will do it twice.

Smear crushed banana between your toes and goodbye tinea.

Taking a moment to confirm Redleg's background is law, not medicine.

I mean, obviously you're thinking of the remarkably similar treatment for tinnitus.

Give my warmest to the Park Orchard shoppers.

Pop into the cricket club for  elevenses and give my regards to the bellboy at Raffles old pip.

Will see you on return and remember to tape up the package BEFORE inserting it- not afterwards like last time.

Having a listen now to last night's podcast with Andy and WJ. Interesting to hear Old Dee and Beelzebub referred to as the old guard, and of the demise of Wong's in Glenhuntly Road. What other pearls of wisdom will be revealed, I wonder?

Bitter in Bangers

A very seedy bitter  I have club privileges at my Bangkok inn - free booze at the rooftop bar  Made a welter of it last night . Guts full of beer and into the red. An ordinary Chianti that became outstanding after about 6 glasses  The staff applauded me as they hadn't seen so much booze quaffed since a sumo visited a few years ago  A quiet chunder into the pot plants wasn't so well received

And some very good news! The tinea is in full retreat! A visit to the "Doctor Fish" did the business . It was an epic battle but the little B lighters stuck to their task manfully. Heavy casualties though as a good proportion of them ended belly up  Nevertheless Bitter's pinkies are currently pink

Anyway toodlepip as I'm of to a place called "Soi Cowboy "   I believe there is a rodeo or some similar attraction

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
