Sadly, I think so.

Lack of success has damaged many a supporter, and the "accepting mediocrity blah blah" mob are so scarred that they can't enjoy any small steps forward we take.

Too bad for them.

Yeah, the 'show me the baby' crowd.

I'm enjoying the pregnancy...

Jack impressed me 5 minutes after drafting him, when he asked if there was anything he could do to attain sponsors.Have just loved following him evolving as a footballer since.Especially to the detriment of all the nay sayers.

His modesty in todays press,re his recent form, just highlights his quality.Other teams supporters already hate him,a magnificent sign,if ever I saw one.

I will sit watching him with a contentment only a star provides.

Maybe the only positive thing I took from tonight's horror is that Jack Watts is an absolute rolls royce. I watched from Level 3 and the thing that stood out was his decision making, he gets the ball and you know he will do something good with it.

He's going to be amazing at his peak.

Really like when jack intercepted the handball off the port players...from memory the commentator (i think darcy) said he won that ball because of work rate...I don't remember seeing those kinds of things in his first two years.

he didn't have a big impact on the game but he didn't disgrace himself either.

Jack is often lauded as having an enormous workrate.

Surely he is allowed the odd poor game.

I have not been a big fan but he has been one of the bright lights this year.

his game on saturday was ok with me.

I hope someone gives him a razor

Wouldn't want him turning into another Travis 'Rasputin' Johnstone

I was thinking the same thing DC

It is really worrying me!

Are we beginning to think the same?

For your sake I hope not.

I understand what you're saying egd but he doesn't need to look like Trapper. 5'O'Clock shadow and flatten a few opposition defenders should help shed any private school silver spoon image.

I think part of the "problem" is that when we beat teams, our system makes it look like the other team is having a shocking day and not trying.

Much like Collingwood and West Coast did to us.

As tends to be the case when one team thrashed another.

When we get it right, we really get it right.

I think your right,,, But I think it's 50/50... that is when another team around our ability starts a bit off their game, we get moving with our game style & the opposition can't stop us. Confidence of a young side.

But if were playing a top 4 side, well they're a bit different, and they can slow us down & reel us in.... Physical size & experience X confidence, + depth of talent.

True, I was using a little hyperbole to make a point

Personally I didn't think it suited him and that's coming from someone with a bit of facial hair

Couple of days growth max should be enough to 'roughen' him

Your mileage may vary of course..........

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.
