Does this [censored] realise that special comments should be said quickly and about what happened, not what he thinks or how this guy is a star etc!

Complete [censored]! He has waffled on so much that Lane has cut him off to call the game after 30 secs of Darcy babbling absolute crap.

Count how many times he says the word "Competition" in all his media outlet. DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!

Totally Agree...a [censored] of the highest order.

the biggest [censored] in the media, thinks his [censored] don't think since he has started working with eddie in the mornings

A complete spud who likes the cut of his own jib.

Doesn't rate a nat's nut sack on my radar.

Complete Eddy sycophant on MMM cant listen to that crap in the mornings.

For a professional national code there is a complete dearth of quality.

For me they go on about goal kicking being the only skill not to improve in AFL.

Wrong

Commentary is become less insightful every week.

Cant name one off the top of my head who I rate.

Channel 10 - Half the commentary is too old and are out of touch see Walls and Blight it's like listening to an old folks home

Tim Lane is a complete [censored]. Christenson how does he even have a job, Hutchinson wears nappies what a joke.

Quartertit has no idea either

Channel 7 - Bruce and Commetti reckon they have this clever inside joke thing going. Well guys you don't you look like fools

I'm sorry but getting a current day player to commentate is stupid rarely do they give anything that's insightful

They just agree all the time.

Don't have foxtel so cant comment on those guys.

I like Gerard Wheately, Jason Dunstall, Dermott, and David Parkin.

Morons like Mike Sheehan, Luke Darcy and Andy Maher who are such unintelligent sheep make me clench my fist with fury.

Yeah, I love how Darcy labels a new guy for most improved player in the competition every week.

Darcy is awful. TRULY awful, and is only there to get the female viewers.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned how he targeted Davey last week, saying his knee injury was a fake and that he had attitude problems... then Davey promptly get scans and it's revealed he's out for a few weeks. No apology though.

Darcy is a wood-duck, who has never once offered a skerrick of insightful commentary. Cliches, what we already know and filler and are very much his stock in trade. He should stick to the netball.

Darcy's comments of Davey were that he was being soft which he was, when did he get the knee injury, he had played this way for many weeks not just one game, he deserves his criticism imo

Criticism was warranted then.

Even knowing after the fact, Criticism still stands.

Davey rolls over far too often.

Complete Eddy sycophant on MMM

So, so true. How bad is that show, f---------- terrible, everyone sucks up Eddie's butt. Sounds like they're legally required to praise the Pies constantly. Also, what happened to their caller who said Beamer peed on a bar? Who was that guy who lied about that? Surely not a fake caller? I'd like Caro to investigate that one. (she wouldn't dare)

Oh nick off will you, I don't mind people criticizing his commentating but outside of the box he is one of the nicest men I've ever met.

He is eye candy for the girls, thats it.

One thing I like about him is that he has been a big advocate of Watts since the beginning and often refers about the unrealistic expectations placed upon him. He gave him another pump up on the radio yesterday again.

Fine he might be a top bloke, just keep him away from microphones and my TV.

If you have a problem with him turn down the volume.

Gerard Wheately,

How can anyone like this Geelong crotch sniffing noob.

On Fox the question was asked

'out of all the games this weekend, who's come out better then last week?'

Dunstall put up Dean Bailey.

Wheatley put up Nathan Vardy.

I'm actually suprised to read this thread...........while certainly not what I would call a fan, I haven't minded Darcy since he went into the media.

He comes across as a fairly unobtrusive sort of bloke, and while he may not be the greatest commentator in the world, he's certainly not the worst either.

I haven't heard his radio show with Eddie on Triple M, so I can't speak for his work there.

Real Demon, if he kept his comments to 400 words or less he might be ok, but he babbles on and on, calls every one a star even if they are second gamer with 1 touch to his name.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
