Yeah I don't know if it was "unreasonable", not to me anyway.....

I understand though how the AFL deem it as such, but personally I though he was pretty honest.

I do not think it was unreasonable. I think the AFL are beyond there own boundries on this one.

People (any person) can tweet whatever they like.

Maybe the AFL will sanction this site one day....is that reasonable?? To you it maybe, but not me.

What Ricky Petterd said in his Twitter was repeated multiple times in here-He was telling the truth.

What you fail to realise WYL is that the players represent the AFL. The AFL can impose sanctions / fines as outlined in the article and as stated by Adrian Anderson. You may not like it, but that's how it is. This site is different and the members do not represent the AFL.

Of course (the tweet - "B...$h!t")it was unreasonable. Even our club the Melbournefc recognise that ! It was a direct response to the upheld decision. Black and White.

It seems pretty heavy handed given how tame the comments were, but let's be honest: the boys should have known better. They all know the rules and know the system they work within. Non-event - cop the (suspended) fine and move on.

The AFL can go suck a big one.

Biggest screw-over we've received by the league in my time as a Melbourne supporter. This entire week has been nothing short of a disgrace, and I hope we send the AFL a nice little tape of 'dangerous tackles' from this weekend with our very own please explain.

Really I hope that the players don't let themselves be censored. For starters, 2500 for most of them is not that much of an issue, and far as I am concerned, they have every right to mouth off. I know the commission has their rules, blah blah blah, but I personally am sick and tired of those fools and their stupid rules. I feel like I am still in NSW under the Bob Carr government. We can barely even think these days without being subjected to a fine. You have to allow the game to have a human element. I know the powers that be have a fixation with NFL and how they run their game, but it is an American game. Let them have their American game, and lets have our tough and completely unique game to ourselves. Why does every part of life have to be sanitised, scripted and controlled. Let them be human.

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
