F: Kids Classes, Facebook, Relaxation

R: Friends, McDonalds, Physio time

The Bye did a job on Adelaide a couple of weeks ago and has seemingly scared the crap out of St Kilda, but I just think Melbourne have got better depth and class and will steamroll them. Tiwi Islands in for their first of the year, whether he will have an impact isn't known yet.

Got this from the BYE FC Web Page

For those not familar with the players.

The Bye

Booze Bus - Roams all over the ground, Used to stop playmakers

Couch - Tends to rest on his laurels. Used as a resting ruck

TV - On his day can tally big scores

Holiday - Takes the brunt of the workload

Relations with the Missus - Week to week proposition prone to have off games

On its day can blow a game apart

Studying - Reads the play well, not scared to get stuck in

Long drive - Roams all over the ground, tends to break down with injury

Partying - Likes to go hard early, lacks stamina

Footy Show - Talks up teammates will influence a result.

Radio Stint - 1st game back after a lay off , (suspended for abuse)

Twitter - Keeps getting brownlow votes , high possesion winner

Family Time - Underrated, keeps plugging away

Kids Classes - when on his game can score heavily, but tends to lose interest.

Facebook - racks up the stats, plays anywhere.

Relaxation - Drifts in and out of the game, often gets caught out napping

Friends - Front runner, wont be sighted if the going gets tough.

McDonalds - inside or outside player, has many tricks, one to watch.

Physio time - Big bodied, great tackler, likes to hurt the opposition

Work experience - relies to much on teammates to help, lucky to play (Computer did a hammy at training)

Remote Communities - Team player, capable of doing anything

Tiwi Islands - Stay at home forward, goal sneak

Sub: Sin Bin - Hard and tough, needs to curb his temper

So PS3 and X-Box have been dropped?

PS3 is still playing for the seconds, he's been terrible all season.

Xbox got hit with an illness - reports of red rings around his eyes.

We beat the bye by 90 points last week, but I think this week will be much harder, and whatever the result, our percentage won't change, which is a shame.

I just hope we dont get any injuries out of this weekend.

And I reckon if I dont pay close attention to Relations with the missus this week,

I might be in some doubt for a big one next Thursday night.

Twitter just let it slip Bye team may not lineup as selected

Wikipedia could be a late selection. Could be the only one that has all the answers to curb Jurrah.

Late news...

Myspace was looked at for the Bye but it appears he's on his last legs.

Talk of him being traded, sold or just taken apart....

I saw their reserves play last weekend against Sandringham. Fishing was looking good for a promotion until the wet weather came in and he looked lost at sea. I see he has been placed on the long term injury list after that nasty incident that saw him literally lose his tackle. Ouch!

popular favourite, Easter Eggs, is making a late run for selection for sundays game... there are concerns over his ability not to melt when the heat is on, however.

btw this is easily the best thread on here

Had Scully been fit he would have gone head to head with Partying in the centre. No doubt he wouldn't have been looking forward to it. Partying can be a close tag for many. Many have fell victim to Partying. There's been many instances where they really feel the pinch the next day.

Scully has had a much better record lining up on Booze Bus (who rotates with Partying), and each time has come through unscathed and the clean winner.

POTENTIAL EMERGENCY SWAP FOR BYE

Radio Stint might be on the way to be dropped. Up to replace him is either Movies or A Weekend At Home. Not sure which one is the bigger threat...

This got me thinking, what was Bye like back in the early part of the 20th Century when there were only 11 clubs. I have done some research and found this team that was going around in the 1919 season

B: Waxing moustache/Smoking a pipe/Visiting seaside

HB: Sending telegram/Radiogram/Thrashing staff

C: Playing with hoop/Penny Farthing/Fisticuffs

HF: Starching/ Cod Liver oil/ Snuff

F: Visiting a Speakeasy/Motorcar/Talkie

19th Man: Morphine

20th Man: Billie Hughes

Interesting line up by todays standards but pretty competitive back in the day.

The coach of the bye Cara Van Parke

just announced he might risk a fine and

select " dirty weekend' to add some muscle to the team,as a late inclusion.

Must be concerned using this ploy to try and put us off our game plan.

That must be why there are rumours of Bucks Night being selected floating around...

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
