Bate was quick to get the nickname "Master" as far as I remember, but my group of mates coined the nickname "Fetus" for him, due to his knack of always looking like he's in the fetal position when going for a mark... It did end up in the catchphrase "You can defeat us when we have the fetus", when he had the odd good game...
