They actually released that video and campaign well before Ablett and Thompson left.

It's just a slow news day at the Hun so they decided to run with it as a story.

It's funny now that they based their campaign on loyalty and have since had both best player and coach slip out the back door.

My guess is that it's a year 9 media student's assignment, or produced by a kid on work experience.

Great foresight then to have Scott in there as the role of the "coach" and to leave Ablett out of the video.

That has to be one of the worst membership videos I've seen. Looks like something Billy has knocked up with the local primary school. Hardly motivational.

Iirc they filmed multiple versions, leaving Ablett in & out as it was just before "The Decison 2010 II".

The inclusion of Scott must have been refilmed after Thompson dropped his bombshell.

There's a fair amount of agro around hey.

It's indeed pretty hard to realise if you didn't know that they'd filmed different versions, I don't see how (without that knowledge) I could've "realised" - you could've just stated that in your first post.

Regardless, woeful video!

agro? WHO YOU CALLING AGRO?!?!??

Are you saying I'm a muppet..?

Maybe it's all the christmass shopping putting people on edge...

oh dear

looks more like something done for the footy show

I think that may be the feel they were going for.

It'd work just fine, if it was only intended as a short segment on the Footy Show.

Seeing as it's a vehicle to increase membership sales, it fails miserably.

Geelong is the sort of the place that will still get their quota in the end...

There was a report in the papers about the filming of the video and how they did multiple versions in case Ablett left.

I imagine the extra time was due to the need to film a different ending involving Scott.

Just add sub-titles and it would be perfect for SBS

yup, the Cats will be pretty cold this year

I hope you are right.

After 2 wins in 20 years at the cattery I am looking forward to a win down there this year.

If we pull that Off We will know we have a good team on our hands.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
