Well ignore what I previously said about it, that was under the premature assumption it was our new mascot (silly really), but I feel it is perfect for the age group it is aimed at.

Good work!

Lol, na your right mate. I knew where you were coming from.

I cant tell you guys anything about release dates. It's not my place.

When they have released everything though I'll tell you all the story about

this all came about. It's been one hell of a surreal experience.

Yes there is 3. I know it sort of sounds weird, but it will make sense on Saturday.

Not weird, just different and interesting (to some). With the new emblem, jumpers etc I personally love the way the club seems to finally be re branding it's self (with great consideration to it's heritage), using unique ideas within it's marketplace that appeal to all age groups. In this, 3 demons, may also be in order to appeal to multiple age groups, a kiddies one, a more fierce for us middle agers, and possibly something from our heritage or with a purple rinse and walking stick... but still a family group?

Ya really really close with that.

I love what the clubs doin too. Whether people like the collar, the stars, the emblem or the demons, atleast we aren't following trends.

Most clubs just follow the formula set by other clubs. We arent doing that. We're doin our own thing, and I reckon that's great.

Not sure if anyone has noted it yet, but "Checker returns to the Club as the nickname of our new Demon mascot."

Hardly groundbreaking stuff, but worth mentioning (only just).

And who is this abusive [censored] that has descended upon us..?

That's so Cool, we must never forget what Checker Hughes did at the MFC, right up there with Norm Smith. B)

Hmmmm not sure about them. This mascot isn't exactly threatening. Or anything to strike fear into an opposition.

http://www.melbournefc.com.au/theclub/demonmascots/tabid/16991/default.aspx

Strike fear into the heart of opposition?

Like the prospect of a swan, a cat or a saint?

I think the main aim of a mascot is to appeal to kids, or at least ours should, and I think these mascots do sufficiently.

They still have a human aspect to them, which is important for kids to be able to relate.

I'm more than happy with the result.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
