Seriously, why do people always knock Robbo. I am sick and tired of it. You are the same people that cheered and went bezerk when he did fly above the pack and pull one down. Or when he kicked the arsey goal against essendon in 2005 to put us into the finals. Yes, he didn't always do the 'Team' thing, but hell, he provided us great service and thrilled people over many season's. When he did try and do the team thing, it was usually a worse result.

He isn't at the club any longer so you can all move on. Can't understand the 'stick the boots in' mentaility amongst Dee's supporters sometimes.

For some reason though whenever Robbo is mentioned around here, you always have a few clowns who feels the need to stick the boot in, or complain about him.

Say what you like, but he was an important part of our club for over a decade and always gave his very best to the team. He never did anything but represent our club with pride.

I don't see why people now have to make throwaway nasty comments about him. It's as pointless and pathetic as idiots who abuse Brock McLean over Twitter. FFS!

Say what you like, but he was an important part of our club for over a decade and always gave his very best to the team. He never did anything but represent our club with pride.

I agree with the bolded statement and his record and story at MFC is a good one.

Come on, very few nice things have been said about Robbo on this site since retirement, and even during the twilight of his career.

He has done absolutely nothing wrong to anyone on here, or to the club, so it surprises me to see the negative reactions, even if they aren't in the majority.

I agree, around here the sentiment towards Robbo is that he was a selfish player who never worked for the team.

That's just Rubbish-Sure he loved taking spekkies (who doesn't) but he was good at it, and it probably got him noticed.

Anyone doubts Robbo's commitment to the Demons watch the game against the Swans at the G in 2002. (The last Q) B)

They play 200 games and are elevated to sainthood. I think valid criticism is appropriate for past players especially since some formed the backbone of an underachieving and mediocre club.

Valid criticism of players is always acceptable if it is related to their football and done in a nice manner. But nobody here has a right to personally insult players, be it current or past. You don't know the players personally, so don't comment on their personality, especially when it has no baring on their football ability.

Robbo was a great player for us, who gave his absolute best for the team and the club. What he does now, is none of our business and I find it pretty distasteful that anonymous people behind a screen are passing judgment.

If we can call our country's leaders idiots, then surely we can criticise a few past players, especially when they're a little too in awe of themselves. Having said that, there's a fine line between criticism and going overboard, and unfortunately, where that line is placed differs from person to person

Calling someone selfish because they claim they're biggest disappointment was not winning MotY is as valid as that claim itself. I like Robbo for his entertainment value, but I certainly like him less now than I once did, and that's a shame.

I guess when you cant put a constructive argument together you need to stoop to that.... Not good.

If Robbo did not love the Melbourne Football Club, there's no way he would have come back from that 2008 injury. He would have been in so much pain for weeks after that one.

I know it's a percieved view of Robbo, & my views will not change that-But i will always be a little sad at how Robbo has been remembered by a lot on this site. The people i call the "True demons"
