De'Vondre Campbell said pre game he doesn't want to play and then when they tried to put him in the game in the third he refused and went to the locker room....

For the record this was probably the most disgusting thing I've seen following this team.

Did someone report that he said it pregame? Kyle said it was in the 3rd quarter when they called on him and I haven't seen any different?

Would be surprised if he plays in the NFL again.

Yeah I reckon he cracked it as he was starting then his reps got less til this week he wasn’t a starter.

There's definitely been whinging and surprise of sharing reps with Winters. It sounds like no-one was aware he was going to pull anything like this though.

This Bills Lions game is a corker!

The Bills have been very good and if they can make it a 3 score game after this drive, they might be home

6 of 7 road teams prevailed in the early games and 3 of 5 teams lead in the late games

Might be another clean sweep by all participants (again) in the tipping comp

Lions defence has held up well recently but today is a step too far.  Bills cutting through them like butter.

Losing another 2 corners hurt them bad, they came back but the Bills Oline is so good and Allen has time then the ability to slip out and run.

Yeah I'd watch these two in a Superbowl 🙂

I worry about these injuries on the defensive side of the ball. Getting to the QB is a difference maker in playoffs. Losing 2 CBs is a body blow as well.

I don't think the Lions can win it now, too banged up on D and now Montgomery out for the year too, three season ending injuries in that game is horrible.

Detroit if healthy would have made the SB this year.

Week 16 Power Rankings

A reminder that we play for double points in weeks 17 & 18 so there is time to bridge the gap for the backmarkers.  Those near the lead will have an interesting time of it coming up with 3 sure-fire road winners this week

  • Lions look the winners but it is a divisional game @ Chicago
  • Arizona only -4.5 @ Carolina? Are they the banker?
  • Rams,  Eagles,  Vikings & Tampa all at -3.5?

It's a tricky week and not the week to not snag 3 points!

Will Mahomes play?  And if not, can Houston (-2.5) take advantage?

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
