Hutchison broke his Tibia vs Boys.

About the only thing that went wrong for the Lions.

Daniels was very good vs the Ravens today, this kid looks better than the Hype had him.

And I've been a Lamar/Ravens critic but they now seem to be getting it all together and Lamar looks good from the the pocket.

Why does it feel like the Ravens are their own worst enemies? Too many fumbles or INT at the worst time. I think that's what's been their doom in the playoffs the last 3 years.

3 points for nearly everyone this week

A couple relying on a Bills tomorrow win to get the 3

But it's a must win for the Jets

A week is a long time in sport (sometimes) and after reading about all the reasons why Bill wouldn't take the job on, it seems a long shot now anyway

So the Jets are probably going to have to find another way forward.  And because the AFC North is not a strong Division, they can make the playoffs

But they'll need to win the Division as a wild-card spot might be out of reach

I wouldn't rule a line through Belichick right now but it seems unlikely that he'll take the Jets coaching job

Would rather go with either Vrabel or a forward looking offensive coach, its an offense dominated league these days yet the Jets have always gone with a defensive minded coach. Time to try something different.

Having King Henry at RB has been huge, he is an absolute beast. He's the reason I had more than a passing interest in the Titans for a few years and with Lamar at QB I think they'll topple the Chiefs in January.

Oh for sure, and Lamar is to fault at times, but normally come January they are facing defences that can handle the dual threat QB's better, but with Henry this is now much harder than it has been in previous years. Flowers is looking good too.

I'm not that convinced simply because I don't believe their D is good enough to hold the best teams to under 20 points, but if they do beat the chiefs it will be 30+ each side.

And the Chiefs are strolling with half a side at the moment.

Flag City in the Jets/Bills game

Missed field goals aplenty ... a match of mistakes

Another Hail Mary for Rodgers.

But let's face it, the Bills aren't going deep this year unless things change on both sides of the ball.

Jets looked much better, be interested to see how long the better form lasts, was it just the week after effect.

Big week for the favourites last week AND all the big favourites covered I believe. Wonder if that will continue this week or we'll see revert back to a few upsets.

Some big splashes in the WR market...Amari Cooper is off to the Bills, and Davante Adams reunites with Aaron Rogers at the Jets! wow

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

  • PREGAME: Gold Coast

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

  • POSTGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
