Seemingly two Collingwood footballers, one who played on Saturday are being investigated for an alleged sexual assault on a girl in South Melbourne on Sunday morning!!!

When will these blokes ever learn (if its true of course)?

If true, what a pair of idiots?

Good old filth, never let u down. Gobshites

Seriously, who is surprised?

would i be pushing the line if i posted who the 2 players were.....yes i do know

Considering the nanny state we live in probably but hey if your certain then surely there is no problem.

I can't imagine this tainting their Premiership in the slightest. 15-22 year old female bandwagoners are still going to sign on in droves next year. Watch their membership hit 70,000.

TWO Collingwood footballers have been questioned by police over an alleged sexual assault as the AFL club celebrated winning the premiership.

A woman has alleged she was assaulted by a member of Collingwood's grand final winning team early yesterday at a house in South Melbourne, after she agreed to have sex with another man.

An affidavit prepared by investigating police alleges the woman was subjected to a further assault by another man as she was leaving the room.

The woman has been examined by police forensic officers and was found to have injuries consistent with rape, it is alleged.

I would delete those posts ASAP because they will get deleted by the mods shortly.

We can't name names before there is an official confirmation, or this site will get into massive trouble!

Why wouldn't big footy and others be subject to the same sort of trouble??

In saying that the wrong name needs to be deleted

 yes

Cannot be if you read the article...and the article was right of course!

I bet most of us would give our right nut to play AFL for a living. I just cannot get over the fact that these guys can make such huge judgement errors. As an AFL star you have a target on your back, why let yourself get into such a situation. If someone can profit from it and drag our name through the mud, god knows they are going to do it to you. Yet a sexual/assault scandal comes up every half calender year. Guilty or not, s&it tends to stick.

I agree completely. If they must have a random shag, just go to a Brothel. Its not as if they cannot afford it. Do the business and go home.

Going out on the tear after winning an AFL Flag is beyond madness. It really is. Regardless of any circumstances.

That said, if the charges stick-it is Jail time.

Yes, you would.

Until the names become public*, any futher posts naming names or giving clues will be deleted. No, I'm not going to issue any PM's and I'm not interested in discussing it further.

*Definition of public is fairly fluid, so we (mods) will use our discretion, but no, BigFooty does not count as public.

It seems to me that these blokes are getting a fair bit more protection from their football club and from the AFL than Fevola when allegations were made against him. In that case, didn't the AFL say it might investigate Fev irrespective of the outcome of the police investigation?

There's been no announcement from the Pies banning two players from any club functions either.

Wonder what malthouse thinks after the Milne incident ?

I'd say they wouldn't be too surprised because said player has exhibited serious character flaws in the past.

In fact, I've said as much & that I wouldn't have him on my list & was laughed at.

Guilty or not, these sorts of players are magnets for trouble.

[Nasher edit: Clever, but no dice. Sorry.]

It's often the case the old saying, that it is not what you know, it is who you know.

IIRC Collingwood sought out info for Ben Cousins when considering recruiting him. It might just be me on this ol' clich'e, however the vision of Brumby & McGuire during the final moments in the GF are one to remember. "Side-by-side they stick together."

Cryptic, I know!

I've just heard a few things.

I don't want a player at my club who reduces female club staffers to tears by belittling and berating them, and then has to be told to pull his head in or he's out.

Just saying.

Well you do not have to be a rocket scientist to work that one out!

they r named on "VEXNEWS" anyway.!!! bold as

so might as well put in daily's.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
