It is no my way at all. Have you read my thoughts on the white jumper. Read the OP. I HATE the white jumper. BUT "we are going to be forced by the AFL to wear a predominantly white jumper next year and going forward". Others have confirmed as much from MFC sources. So why carry on the talk about other alternatives. Just for you mate, I have come up with a design that the afl, MIGHT, THINK ABOUT. You can forget the Royal Blue, it clashes WITH The doggies and WCE. L@@K below

Well, I still think you should add a final option of "none of the above" (please)

I do understand what you are trying to do, and I have read all the posts.

With respect to the royal blue. Reread my original post. I was NOT necessarily proposing it, just giving an example. I was just suggesting that using different shades of red and/or blue, MIGHT be better than white, and MIGHT be a way of reducing clashes, and MIGHT be a different approach to the problem.

Just trying to use a bit of lateral thinking, we're not necessarily on different pages!

Thanks, It's at least a good start.

I think it's better than the white options. Maybe it'll get people's creative juices going in a different direction

Let's see where it leads us, can't do any harm experimenting with different approaches

I know what I like/dislike but my design skills are !#ss weak

Not bad, I could live with that

Dunno whether AFL would consider it a clash with WC? They do have some strange ideas on clashes.

Unfortunately the AFL don't publish guidlines on clash definitions (as we all know)

Jimi, thatnks for the input, I have deliberately made the back blue. The reason being that it adds more red and blue comination. I understand what you are saying but, otherwise it will look like a Sydney Jumper. I will draw one up and you can see what you think. I have slightly changed the one above to include more blue on the back. Meaning less white space. I have also added '1858' in red up the top of the jumper and changed the numbers to red. I will keep working on it til we get there.

Belzebub, I have an idea of the type of logo you are talking about. I will give it a shot clashstrip24.png

actually...this one with the modified motif ( hint of a red outline just to embellish it ) is really quite nice. Possible matchingblue panel on shorts. Its bold, makes impact and looks lke a football jumper with tradition whilst not looking like a fumbled attempt at fashion.

Nice stuf 24

Yeah like this one Redleg....you scared me saying that Option 5 is what we will have if nothing is done. That is a shocker!!

So I am aboard your white ideas and will go with this.

and a memo to the club... once weve actually got a decent 2nd strip...can we just keep it. Get some games and miles into so it too belongs to this great club !!!!

Looking forward to seeing the emblem...and still no one who knows ( i.e has seen ) has made a comment as to its suitability on this kind of jumper. Some comment is welcome :) cheers

I just dont get the AFL decree.

"All clubs with the exception of Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond have a mainly white jumper.

The other exception is Geelong, who's clash strip has more blue than the home jumper ( go figure).

Interetsing that the teams with a lot of black ( the hardest colour to see ) do not abide by the AFL decision."

Seems there are too many exceptions to the "rule".

The alternate red is better than white as it would cause less clashes.

Or does this mean we will never see umpires in white ever again, just pink or red when we are playing.

Daisy cutter, I have redone the one you wantd with a different blue. There is no way the AFL will allow us to use that BLUE. GC are going to have a very similiar colour. Have to be this 'Argentine' blue78775144.png

I too would like to stick with a "good" clash jumper, but there's no way the team would or should pass up the opportunity to sell new jumpers every couple of years

Possibly as sponsors come and go there will be opportunities to revise a jumper but Im really sick to death of everything from a pajama outfit to 'basic' efort supposedly there to represent this illustrious club. Cant we have some more tradition. Some class..some dedfinition about who we are...its all been so wishy washy. We need determination and resolution. We need to make it stand for something. ..just my view of course

But do you think we would need a clash jumper against GC? I haven't really seen GC's final jumper.

That previous blue was a fairly "electric" blue which would be very easy to pickup and look good on TV.

After NM's effort I wouldn't like the blue to get too pale!

Maybe something like "Palace Blue" PANTONE 18-4043 ???

BTW is there an official list of clubs that the AFL deem we clash with?

Daisycutter What justification would we have for a light blue colour?

At the risk of offending you "get over it" the jumper will be White with red and blue trim.

That is it all over all done!

When we win the premiership you won't care what jumper they are wearing, well I won,t

Old Dee, you don't offend me . . . . . its just a POV OK

I gave my justification for trying different shades of red and/or blue. Read my previous posts.

You are probably right . . . . it just won't happen . . but I still won't like it.

Don't worry though, I won't lose any sleep over it (well, not too much).

I give Redleg credit for trying to make the most out of something he doesn't like either.

Nothing wrong with trying to tossup some other ideas . . . it's never over until the fat lady sings.

Cheers ("we are the red and the blue")

If we win the Flag in a white Jumper i will be Furious (& yes i will still enjoy it-but you get my point)

Keep up the Fight Daisy. We must fight for our colours.

A little bit off topic, but according to club twitter we WILL be wearing our traditional strip this weekend against the bummers.

Does anyone know what the bummers will be wearing?

If it's that wider red sash one, that would hardly reduce the clash.

This whole clash inconsistency does my head in.

If we have to have stupid white on our jumper then the one with the MFC logo with the red and blue around it. Why can't we just wear an all red and all blue jumper for these clash jumpers?

Here we go again...All aboard the merry go round! WE CANT WEAR ALL RED...the AFL dictatorship have deemed it clashes with certain clubs ala Brisbane. We cannot have a white one, a light blue one, a red one a normal one. The white prevents the clash with a number of teams. If we can have 3, like the Eagles, then this IS THE OPTION we should take. But, I am led to believe this is not currently permitted. So the AFL have deemed we must produce a PREDOMINANTLY WHITE JUPER. Are we all clear why we are now having this discussion.

IF anyone believes this is not the case and has heard otherwise, please inform all of us. As far as I am aware, the AFL's position has NOT altered.

IMO those light blue designs look far worse than the white ones. The wite is more Melbourne than a light electric blue, and before anyone asks, NO! WE CANNOT WEAR ROYAL BLUE, it clashes with Footscray.

I am not making this up for my benefit, I am looking for solutions. Remove your heads from the sand.

'24 great work mate, I appreciate what you're doing.

Still remember going to the G as a boy the feeling I got seeing 18 players in red & blue on the field. I still get that today and I'm sure all passionate fans are the same. The AFL fails to respect this.

I like #70 the best. Could a blue "1858" be incorporated onto the back?

God forbid any team should ever play a grandfinal in a clash strip!

This is my final offering, unless other suggestions are made,. It combines elements of Option 6 and 2, and has included suggestions from other posters. Thanks all for your imput. I think this is the one, along with three others, that I will send to the club.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
