Im happy enough to wait til unveiled but I dont see how that woiuld stop anyone already knowledgable from ascertaining its suitability to being on a jumper..say ala Carlton style but in the fashion of our emblem on white . Im assuming it would lend itself to white ??

This new emblem is a bit like the brief case in pulp fiction, my be it will be better not to every revile this new emblem, keep the mystery, what was in the brief case does anyone know?

Have heard a theory that the briefcase contained MW's soul that he was trying to buy back from the devil.

Not sure the club would be thrilled that this has been published prior to it's official launch, but f--k me that's impressive.

I agree, they wouldnt want it known but fact is anyone can find it, just as the Suns name for the Gold Coast was found, so therefore its definitely worthy posting IMO, and I must reiterate I found this from the main board on BigFooty

and so you just had to sign up on here and tell everyone!

Don't shoot the messenger people... deep down everyone on here wanted to know what it looked like... and if its on big footy then it was just a matter of time before it ended up in the public domain.

BTW the emblem looks very classy!

No idea what the funny thing above the M is?

Not a big fan of the southern cross on there but I see the need to balance the trident.

A very nice emblem tho.

And lets face it, these days due to the interwebz nothing will ever last the months they try and hide it for.

Good get dspeed.Looks like it was knocked up in Photoshop by a grade 5 student.................... Nah its pretty cool really. I am now going to buy 3 memberships today on the back of this!!

Whist I haven't sat in my seat in the Southern Stand much this year that was the first time that I'd noticed the signage pointed out in these posts and love them.

The 'Masters of the MCG' is slightly arrogant but I still like it!

Also love the NBA-styled signs for every year we'd won a premiership - they hang their banners in the rafters of the stadia, obviously we can't do this but I thought that was great :) Left one blank at the end for the next one too...!

"Masters of the MCG" banner adorned the MCG in the early 70's when i started going to the football. it had been in use since the glory days...

THAT EMBLEM SHOULD BE DELETED

As much as I am interested in seeing it, NO Melbourne supporter would want to detract from a club initiative that might generate good publicity etc.

Let the club have its moment in the sun FFS.

And I love the fact its your second post and you signed up specifically just to show how smart you are. I personally wish you would **** off.

That is fantastic!!!!!!

Love it...the names in the background,

Those 'names in the background' are actually the Rules of the game published by Wills and others. They were the Rules of The melbourne football club, later the rules of Australian Rules Football

PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY LINKS TO, OR PICTURES OF THE NEW EMBLEM.

THE CLUB IS WAITING TO LAUNCH THIS THEMSELVES. PLEASE GIVE THEM THAT OPPORTUNITY.

This thread is now locked until that time.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
