I'll start it off...

Tapscott is crap, I mean he has done nothing but sit pretty on that injury list and waste our time.

He has shown nothing, and we should have redrafted Luke Molan with pick 18. We'll end up regretting the decision to draft him.

Nah, bugger Molan, we need a forward, can we redraft Robbo at the end, this year? And he was a Tasmanian!

Nine rounds in and you say he's a dud pick when he hasn't played an AFL or VFL game.

Shame on you!

How could you have overlooked the fact that he's become our latest 426?

Gawn 6-8 weeks and we are at round 10. Based on this assessment, the earliest he will be up and running at Casey will be round 16. Does anyone else get the feeling we will be seeing a Gawn debut game next year? He might squeeze in for a late 2-3, but this season is a wash for the big fella.

Gawn probably won't debut for the demons until 2012. This year has been ruined in terms of developed at VFL level. a 206cm, 18-year old kid, coming off a knee reco, will take years to develop fully.

He will need a full season at VFL to develop his game. Does anyone really expect to see him play this season.

Ruckman often only fully develop by the age of 25 at least! You only need to look at Jamar and Sandilands as examples who were labeled duds in their teenage years (i know Kruiser has gone bang straight away but he is a freak of nature)

This is the first week he's had a number figure rather than 'indefinite' isn't it?

I'd not expect him to get much beyond the Casey reserves this year -- so yes, this season is a wash. To be honest I wouldn't have expected him to pull on an MFC jumper this year anyway, even if he was fit.

i cant wait to see the number 35 run around on the g. bought the jumper with his number on at the start of the year cos i like the fact he's hard at it and as soon as i heard CC say he had that bit of [censored] about him, i liked the sound of him even more. anways, the very next week he was on that list. i think i may have jinxed the poor kid. anyway good full page picture of him and trengove in todays mx.

Agree. Long term prospect. Would need to develop at VFL level with a decent amount of games under his belt.

I could be mistaken but this injury list is the same as last week with the players shuffled around a little bit. Melbourne website are yet to update the list from the 18th and it looks the same as above

    GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Brisbane

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

The Demons almost blew a six goal lead and ultimately hung on to win by three points over the North Melbourne Kangaroos at the MCG and have temporarily jumped back into the Top 8.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.
