With one game to go to complete round 1, Jordie McKenzie leads the AFL tackle count following his 11 tackles on the Saturday. This despite only playing 64% game time - only Brad Green had less game time for the Dees. This is an exceptional achievement from a 19 year old rookie playing only his fourth game. For me this was the biggest positive from the weekend. And let's not forget he resisted overtures from Neil Craig to become a senior listed player at the Crows to stay on our rookie list.

For me, he was right up there with our best yesterday. For where he's at, he was great. Played with passion and didn't do much wrong. And he's fierce...

I noticed this also, in particular the TOG% - anyone got an inkling why he only played 64% ..??

Get him in there for the full match!

(obviously his intensity is not sustainable for that amount of time, but you get my point...)

He was definitely in our better players.

It's seeing guys like him develop that makes going to the games worthwhile when you're a struggling side.

Considering the amount of stoppages, it's not all that impressive a number. Our gameplan atm is not very fluid, so we handball in circles and eventually get caught in the middle of Hawthorn players, which in turn caused a ball-up. It's been like that for the past 2 years under Bailey.

Still, fair effort for a young bloke to be in and under so often.

Agreed, and moreover, if you train and play that way then you're bound to suffer more injuries with the greater possibilty of collisions.

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
