Yeah, for some reason he's very underestimated here at 'land..

I think he's a big part of our future. His 1st year was as good as Bennys imo.

Kicked some great goals and had impact like his cousin lewis had recently with the swans..

the difference being the swans win games, so its noticed.

May end up on a wing / davey-type HFF..(with LJ, wona, possibly maric they can all fit if warranted)

His instinctive, natural style wont see him go unnoticed for much longer imho.

jetta is also a hard little guy...by that i mean he is tough and can lay a good bump which is good

EDIT: Pretty much everyone was terrible tho Demonator.

At least he got some game time on the biggest, best ruckman in the league atm.

yeah, fair point mate!

Yeah, how could i forget!

He got amongst it a few times last year, doesnt take sh!t from anyone. Just needs a few more kg's of muscle imo..

We need more of that hardness at MFC. Tappy will help.

That bump Jet layed on Sunday was glorious.. ball was within 5 mts.. wasnt high.. total BS free-kick paid against him!

You could almost feel the freo guy land from where i was! demon_biggrin.gif

Re: Jetta, I mentioned to a Swans supporter mate the other day how good young Lewie looked and he said as good as he looks he'd trade him for our Nev...

Big call, but it shows that even if demon supporters tend to underrate him, it looks like not everyone does.

I rate the kid. Will be an integral part of our future.

jetta's reason might be the fact that he was rubbish. do not think he would be close to making our best 22 if wona and maric are playing well.

I'd say that Jetta is as good as most MFC players at the moment, and would make the 22 easily. :P

Thinking of going it's been a long time since I've been to princes park.

What's parking like is there any available close to the ground?

there is parking provided in the park next to the ground much like they do at the G. I have never done it as i live round the corner so not sure how much it is.

This team has 1410 games experience.

5 players with 0 games experience, 7 players with less than 10 games, 12 with under 20.

12 players with 50 games or more, 3 players with 100 or more, 2 with 150 or more, 1 with 200 or more.

Essendon have 1765

4 players with 0 games experience, 5 players with less than 10 games, 7 with under 20.

12 players with 50 games or more, 6 players with 100 or more, 2 with 150 or more, 1 with 200 or more

Roughly 14 games per player difference.

Some of the Essendon stats may be incorrect as it's tough to work with their website. But interestingly, they seem to be where we'll be at in a few seasons.

We'll have a few more with 100/150 games experience and something of note, in my view, is that 7 of their players have between 20-50 games experience with the other youngsters basically having played no matches. We only have 2 players with between 20-50 games playing today.

It seems whilst Essendon's quality younger brigade have now played between 20-50 games, ours have yet to reach that mark.

Where the puck is Tom McNamara? Not in the squad, not on the injury list. Weird. Should be playing IMO. Especially since players like Bartram, Bell and Newton make the squad.

Looking forward to seeing what Rohan Bail's got. The only time I've seen him was in his debut vs North, where he played not much more than 5 minutes.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
