Well, it has been debated to death, now let's hear your opinion.

I'm sticking with Scully.

Give them 1.5 each and share the load.

Either of them will handle it admirably, and I believe even though they'll be given the 'No. 1' tag, Melbourne will promote both players equally...

Still, Scully for me.

Edit: I think this is an interesting indicator, saying; If Jordan McMahon had not kicked 'the goal' we would have a choice of either... At the moment, it appears we would be taking Scully...

Scully - S comes before T.

I agree - belt em out in alphabetical order because who really cares?! We're getting both and from what we know and have seen, they both deserve it! I think either will be able to handle the pressure because they are far and away the best 2 in the draft. Last year there could have been 3 or 4 picked at number one which is why there was so much hype and pressure surrounding Watts!

Wooosh....over head.

If you see that the V was in bold...and look to the previous posts...I was making a joke about the alphabetical order situation.

S, then T, then V, so whose name starts with a W, X, Y or Z we can pick at 18?

BP should make a public display of tossing a coin before pick 1 to determine the order. That way, nothing can be read into.

Heads it's Scully, tails it's Trengove. Toss it up, and go with the result.

The only way that could be reported is that we didn't care. Best outcome for both players and for the club.

Best idea to date Baz! I was a fan of the pick 1.5 for both, but the old coin toss seems fair. Either that or both Tom and Jack have a paper, scissors, rock-off!

For the record, I picked JT. I'm not a believer of this "go home" factor, but giving him the number 1 title will make it harder for him to ever consider. I think he will handle the number 1 tag, as he seemed to handle the build up the the SANFL grand final very well. The AFL is obviously a lot bigger, but that's my reasoning.

I'm just grateful that we are getting both, just not sure which one will be my favourite player.

Ahh... one of those jokes you had to explain so people get it.

They're always the funniest.

I'd read into it; we are too [censored] weak to make a effing decision.

I can see you are trying to protect one of them, and by extension both of them, but I want my club to say that 'this player, as we saw it, was the best player, and this player the second best. Every year there is a Number 1 pick and Jack/Tom will have to deal with that pressure, and we are confident he can.'

You know Old Xav has these posts read to him. How's he supposed to get that! He's just learning 2 syllable words. You are very cruel.

Sorry OX. I'll explain it to you later in crayon.

Right again rpfc. For goodness sake, what we like about these kids is their ability of course but also their maturity beyond their years, their toughness, professionalism and leadership. I can't see one hiding in the corner in embarrassment whilst the other sulks when the order is announced. Give them credit! This so called shallow draft has 2 genuine #1 picks in any year and we are lucky to be able to snag both. Exciting times ahead my friends (and Rhino) :)

Excuse me as I pick myself up off the floor.

Giving him the number one "title" will make it harder for JT to go home ?

I don't buy that for one minute.

Hard to see how you can read that into it. You could also read into it that we are so [censored] weak as to be forced to make a decision just because someone else (AFL?) wants us to.

It's not as if one of them is clearly better. It's genuinely just about impossible to split them - we may as well toss a coin. Or what's wrong with giving it to both? It underlines the Jordan McMahon factor. I only voted Scully because he's been locked in for months and he's done nothing to lose his position.

I herd on SEN today that Scully has been told he was going at 1.

I do not think Trengrove will leave the MFC to go home, in a few years WE WILL be one of the top sides in the AFL. I can not see the Power kicking it with the big boys, but on the same note I can see the Crows coming up again... Just my thoughts.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
