As Luke Ball is going to nominate for the National draft and has met both Malthouse and Buckley but not bothered to meet anyone from MFC is clearly not interested in playing for MFC and as DB noted on SEN it would be a very short conversation.

Hopefully MFC has already moved on and as they are up in Alice Springs area this week DB and Bary P should be putting all effort into securing Jurrah mark 2!!!!! "Lajamanu Lightning Bolt" as reported in the HUN today is Liam's cousin and some say an even better prospect! As comes fromsouth of Darwin, Aaron no doubt will be working on him also!

I agree, forget Ball and let's move on.

It would be great to pick up Jurrahcane's cousin and word is we are showing a lot of interest in Jack Grimes' brother as well. Hopefully we can get these guys with 34 and 50.

What still needs to be done though is to finalise our delistings, so we can use our picks. I think this has to happen by 2pm this Friday.

I agree, and what better place for Liam to come than with his cousin at Melbourne.

where do we play him....as a mid .. or just ask Jurrah and Patrick to go out and create whatever mayhem they can in whatever manner they feel fit ?? :LOL;

further thought.... play him as a winger... almost scary !!

If he plays a similar role to Jurrah and is as good as is being reported, I would put them both in the forward line.

St Kilda couldn't stop one Liam, I would like to see the other clubs try and stop two.

Just let them play wherever they want. These guys don't need coaching. They merely find the ball.

Bailey could just sit back & enjoy the ride along with all our supporters.

imagine a Jurrah 2, along with all our other indiginous players....I gotta sit down!!!

These guys don't need coaching.

It might look like that but I remember one of Liam's coaches arcing up last year when Brian Taylor was rabbitting on about how Melbourne should not coach him. The point the NT coach made was that of course these blokes are coached and have been all their time playing football.

It's our cultural blinkers that make us think they aren't coached.

Fair Point, but i still say one should not Retard these boys from playing with all their natural Talents.

Maybe that is a better way of saying it.

Coach them during the week & on the Weekend just let them loose to weave their magic.

i agree with the title heading, lets get Usain Bolt as an international rookie... imagine him flying down the wing, or on the lead...

His disposal is questionnable, and he has tunnel vision. No peripheral.

Liam Patrick is a great player, very fast and possesses a phenomenal leap, perhaps even out doing LJ in that regard, if that's possible. However, his overall skills lack the silk of LJ. Overall, he' be a great pick up. Seems the Hawks are also interested in drafting him. His chances of succeeding in the AFL, however, would be far better at Melbourne where his cousin is located. Here's hoping.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
