should Jurrah remain no. 48?

If he was given his choice of any number i would bet he would choose 15

Would like him to stay 48 personally

I think it was Rudeboy who told us that Liam would love to wear #15. I seem to recall its the number that both he and his father wore when playing for Yuendumu Magpies..

Keep him in No 48. We won a premiership in '48. Might be a good omen.

I want Liam to keep number 48 for his entire career. It suits him.

It is a unique number for a unique player.

By the end of his career he will be the most famous number 48 of all time in AFL/VFL history.

He will make that number famous.

I spoke with him at the Demon Ball about this. I told him I wanted to put his number on my sons jumper but would be filthy if he changed it. He said he has been offered a lower number but his locker is empty and wants to create his own history in that number. It is number 48 to stay. BTW great bloke - more than happy to talk to us.

I'm superstitious, don't change it. Remember what happened when the last Wiz changed from 33 to 8?

And Greg Blewett was my favourite player and is still my favourite player of all time. He had the most stylish cover drive I've ever witnessed and he pulled the ball better than Ponting. When he was on, he was brilliant to watch. He basically made me follow the Redbacks...that and I was born in Adelaide. Proud Victorian in the winter months and South Australian in the summer.:P

Good news. Stick with 48, LJ!

No.48 is fine by me too. He can make it his own.

It won't bother me in the slightest if he gets another. I just want to watch him take those one handers and him kick those goals over his head.

Did anyone see him pinpoint his kick to Miller for the first goal of the game? Genius.

loved it, especially because I had 5 on miller at 16-1 to kick the first goal

Stick with 48 for another year. Would like to see him take on the 23 though from Junior.

Majak Daw? Give him no. 51.

Good to see someone else on the Majak Daw bandwagon. I've seen him a lot this season and he kept improving every week.

Along with Jurrah he could be another cult hero down at the Dees.

Jurrah's had a break out year for the MFC, and has clearly earnt a number change.

should he change? what to?

i hope he dosen't, he could be the best no. 48 the AFL has ever seen.

In 15 years time, I hope we will be talking about up and coming potential stars and saying... I think we should give them number 48!

A good thread for my first post. ;) I agree with most that Jurrah should keep the number 48 and make it his own, though I still wouldn't mind if he changed to a lower number either. I'd choose number 9. Just as long as he doesn't change it soon after I get 48 on my new jumper next year.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
