No.

But if it were Collingwood...

I've never met a bunch of supporters so proud to be inbred and toothless. Listening to those in this office talk about how their Pies have now got it sown up. It makes me want to “spew up!”

I would tear up my membership if we won.

Anyone who has threatened to 'tear up their membership' ever actually done it? I've always thought it was a melodramatic, nonsense threat, not to mention an empty one.

And that's just putting aside the fact that your membership is in the form of a plastic card that isn't easily torn up.

Wouldn't it be great now that pick one is sewn up to send the Saints into a tailspin? OK we miss a priority, but the morale boost would be sensational and it's always good to derail someone else.

This is just about the most ridiculous thing I've seen posted on this forum - actually, any forum - this year. Congratulations.

Stupid, Stupid, Stupid topic, your entitled to have your opinion but IMO losing the PP would be the biggest mistake MFC has and will ever make.

Idiot!

hmmm this might sound odd, but tbh, i wouldnt mind seeing us get belted. The saints are currently the no.1 team in the comp, and if they bring their "A" game, we are certainties to lose. With us getting smashed, i reckon it might create some extra drive within the playing group and possibly set up a preseason of hardwork and a massive desire to improve, as well it will reveal to our players what type of work rate is nescessary if we are to rise to the top. But then again, this scenario could have the opposite effect.

Sorry but...a loss on Sunday is a win for the MFC!

And yes #30 could become a very good player. Nothing too flash but steady and composed. One of many young Dee's to keep an eye on over the next few years (inc, picks 1,2 and 18 - sooooper  )

Subtlety and nuance is lost on you ain't it, Sergeant Schultz? And Mikey J and AzzKicka?

The point of my post is we CAN this week honestly barrack for the dees because they won't get up. But for the first time in weeks we don't have to go wishing for a loss - it will be seen to.

At least BBPowell got it.

I reckon it's happened a fair bit with those who have been associated with Punt Rd Nasher.

 No it isn't and it's Siegfried in this particular instance.

pitmaster. just take a deep breath and try to be patient!! only 5 days before we can all relax!!

MFC is making some hard decisions in ending careers of current players like Robbo in interests of long term benefit of the MFC and all of us. Given all the effort to not win more than 4 games to this stage and 45 years since our last premiership absolutely essential we get picks 1 &2 now.

Best for MFC is Saints have a good year this year and even win the flag as will mean we dont have to feel any sympathy for them in 2011 to 2104 wheh its our turn!!!

not to mention the season is over..and the membership would've been paid for too... so it wouldn't really matter either way hahaha

As it happens i will rip it up if we lose as well. It's a time honoured tradition. The first one I don't rip up will be in 2 years and it will be at the end of September not the end of August.

pitmaster, you were asking for it with the topic and first sentence or two :P

2014, you must be joking, my dad said we would win one in the ninetys,2014 thats a [censored] off joke, i just hope they recruit some boys with some dash, fancy not winning a flag for 45yrs, pathetic, every stinking years the same with this club, i hope the pp makes a difference, wouldnt it be nice to sit back turn the footy on look up on the lounge room wall and see a big picture frame that says, LIMITED EDITION MFC PREMEIRS 2012, as MR T says shows some nuts, GO DEMONS. ;)

Sure, the second half of your post made its point, but don't get all whingey when you get exactly the reaction that the first half of your post - and the topic headline - was fishing for.

I'm not going to be barracking for the Dees at all this weekend, because I don't want us to win. Simple.

And you're either a troll, or not very clever. I haven't worked out which it is, yet.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
