so pretty much everyone in the seniors list is also listed in the dees extended bench.. bar Robbo, Zomer and Hughes... i think Robbo will be very lucky to get a contract next year.. or maybe he will get a contract where he will get paid 50c a week..

Yeah. Take away the four who will start for MFC on the interchange bench and one emergency and the cupboard's bare.

The no name Casey side flogged a Coburg team bursting with Richmond stars the other week. It was impressive.

They exist??

Would love to see Danny Hughes get a game for the Demons... Would be great to watch 3 debutants running around tomorrow...

Is hughes Injured? He was not named in the emergencies for Melbourne so he wont be playing, is that right?

Well generally this is the case, however if there were wholesale changes, he could come in... Who knows what will happen this week? You're probably right though, it'd be more likely he's injured, rather than him playing tomorrow for Melbourne...

At half time its North Ballarat 7.14.56 to Casey Scorpions 1.2.8

This is not fun.

There are two Demons out there (one a rookie) against some serious talent. Fortunatley, Casey has a bye next week.

For Hughes to come into the side tomorrow he would have to be elevated off the long term injury list. I think we have a few long term injured players around to accomodate him.

Otherwise we could play him anyway and forfeit the points for playing an ineligible player ... now there's a ... no just forget it!

I think you mean the rookie list, with another player to go onto the long term injury list?

This season, rookies don't need to be elevated for a long term injury after round 11, so we're free to play him if we wish...

Whats Daniel Wells doing playing for Nth Ballarat? Are North Melb countering our "tank"????

Wells has been injured nearly all year. They're probably just giving him a run in the VFL to see where he's at, and what he needs to do for the remainder of the year to be fit and primed for season 2010.

    FEARS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne’s worst fears about the absence of Max Gawn were realised when it received a shellacking from Fremantle’s ruckmen Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson who dominated the hit out tally in their game at Optus Stadium on Sunday by a massive 47 to 19. As a result, the 50-point deficit at the end of the game proved to be a loss that was long foreseen that was two years in the making and demonstrated a complete lack of hindsight and planning from the club. To add insult to injury, Jackson was a D

    RAIN CHECK by Whispering Jack

The Frankston Dolphins broke a run of six straight losses against their neighbours, the Casey Demons and kept their hopes for a long-awaited return to the VFL finals alive with a 27 point victory over at Kinetic Stadium. Casey was welcomed to the Peninsula by grey skies, heavy rain and angry seas with threatening white-capped waves whipped up by gale force winds. After a slow start in the opening term when they failed to take advantage of the breeze, it appeared that the Demons had decided

EARLY BIRDS by KC from Casey

Wet, slippery conditions and threatening rainfalls greeted the VFL Bombers at the end of their long journey southeast of the big city on Sunday. The threatening weather combined with the fact that neither side had realistic prospects of advancing to action in September, meant that spectators gathered at a cold Casey Fields weren’t expecting a classic exhibition of football. Nor did they get one. Instead they were presented with a dour struggle that never reached great heights. It was a
