Yeah no worries YM, Make him earn him earn his spot back. Do the crime pay the time. Good on you DB pushing home some values, If he doesn't like it he can follow Chris Johnson out the door

Colin did the time.

He got a 3 week suspension.

Was that not enough?

What a joke.

Afl time, Do you know MFC team rules ? He will be back next week anyway, By the looks of it he carved it it today.

If it drives Colin away from the club, then it is a disaster of epic proportions.

The kid is on the verge of superstardrom, and he gets sent back to Casey?

Why the hell do McDonald and Bruce not get a run down there?

This is Baileys worst mistake yet.

I agree Yze_Magic. Absolute joke.

It's interesting that after serving a one week club imposed suspension in round 1 he was brought straight back into the AFL. Didn't need to have a game in the ressies after that

Im sure he just loved going down to Geelong today, while spuds like Miller, Newton, Bartram and PJ play in the seniors.

He is 23, and a huge part of our future.

Same cant be said for Bruce and McDonald who continue getting senior games despite being useless.

If Sylvia asked for a trade I would support him 100%, cos he has been treated poorly.

to bad we cant trade you. ;)

you're more ignorant than I thought YM. Why would Sylvia care? he knows that we are tanking and being made to play for casey is a show of respect if anything. Geez, ur dumb. Yeh lets play sylvia and lose our priority pick :S

Posted

Was a very close finish... casey hit the front in the last minute. Then geelong goaled...

Zomer had a shot in the dying seconds only to kick it out on the full!!!!

Hughes kicked just after the siren for a goal... so an extra 5 seconds and casey win!

Buckley did play... Was ok but nothing special.. Robbo was terrible again!

Colin was sensational!

YM... as Jaded alludes.. you are obviously missing the whole thing... its because he is IN form hes being kept away.. honestlyu...surely youre not that silly...are you ?? :)

I know Y_M is something of an enigma, but I just can not understand how you can be pro-tank, but anti-Sylvia-for-Casey at the same time. If Sylvia plays for MFC this week, we risk winning, it's as simple as that.

Make him earn him earn his spot back.

This has got nothing to do with him earning his spot back. If he didn't get a kick he would play next week. It's about punishing a player who himself agrees that he has a anger management problem and is a repeat offender. Remember the AFL suspended him for 3 weeks not Melbourne and he was lucky to only get 3 weeks. The club have to stamp this out now cause when we are a better team we want Sylvia on the ground not in the stands after punching someone in the face for no reason.

Laughable.

YM is taking the [censored] people

He knows exactly why Sylvia is not playing AFL this week & probably next week.

We all know come round 20 our side will have a different look.

Sadly CarlTANK is looming as another danger game towards our objective.

A rampaging Sylvia, Sculley. Trengrove, Bleese all running around in the midfield.

Don't lose focus ;)

Just on Bail, this from Tilly18 on Demonology:

The players wore black arm bands today in respect for Rohan Bails's Mum who lost her battle with cancer this week.

Rohan is back in Queensland right now but is flying back to play for the seconds tomorrow

That would explain his selection in the twos this week, it was probably just an arrangement with the club(s).

Although what I said earlier in the thread was relatively harmless, I feel like a bit of a knob right now.

If one game in the reserves is enough for Sylvia to ask for a trade then he has learnt nothing and a lot of his recent words are not only worthless, they are downright lies.

For a guy who is such a staunch supporter of Col, you don't give him much credit.

Apparently Jake Spencer didn't play for Casey today.

He could be the emergency for tomorrow's game and could be in line to replace a big man who was injured last week.

I stress the last part is speculation only.

Well Martin came off injured at one stage last week, so I guess Martin for Spencer is a possibility.

Spencer straight to FB thanks!

Geez, thats gutsy to play after such a big ordeal & being so removed from his family.

Thats dedication in capitol letters.

It just goes to show what Sylvia means to Melbourne and how far he has come now that posters and the like would prefer him playing for Casey at this stage. In all due respect I can understand Y_M's take, Sylvia had served his time before today. Top line players deserve better.

LOL.

Th MFC is a joke at the moment.

Sylvia, who was in rampaging in form leading up to his suspension, was sent down to Geelong to play a game starting at 11am with a bunch of hacks.

Absolute disgrace.

I would not blame Colin if he asked for a trade at seasons end.

Wake up Bailey, for christs sake.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE.......................in the words of before the game award......................Tool of the week................absolutely no idea!!!!

Can someone please clarify, his selection for Casey this week was due to the suspension from the tribunal and the undisciplined at that caused it? If that is the case then there can be no doubt of our club's intentions this year, they want Scully plain and simple. You're absolutely right YM, Sylvia has done everything to deserve being called up straight back into the seniors, but even he (who thought the Tour de France was for one day only!) would know what's really going on.
