I remember seeing Zomer in a praccy match out at Casey at the start of the year and i was impressed. Expected him to start really pushing his name forward this year considering hes on his 2nd year of a rookie contract.

Unfortunately, hes been stuck in the reserves obviously through form and a strong casey forward line.

With the chances been given to Newton and Co in the MFC side this week, hopefully Zomer can seize the oppotunity...

We could do with another key forward/ruckman.

Great goal in the 1st quarter...

Any chance we can get Kyle Mathews on our list next year and just stick him in our forward line to just tackle and harass the opposition?

He is an absolute terrier, i love watching him play.

How old is he? Is he worth a rookie listing? Love the way he goes about it.

Half time and it's a hard fought 4 goal lead to the Scorps - 7.6.48 to 3.6.24.

Goals Buckley Creed Hughes MacReadie Stockdale Waite Zomer

Question is can they keep it up and will my battery last?

Robbo...... I saw you on Fox Sorts News during the week and you were saying that you have never felt better (physically) and that you still have a lot to offer the Melbourne Football Club.... When asked if you were not re-signed by the Dees would you still look to play footy elsewhere you said "Definately, I love the Melbourne Football Club, but if my time for the Demons is up I would definately be looking to play footy for another club. I still have a lot to offer AFL football...."

Don't just talk bull$hit Robbo..... THe way you are going today you may not even get back into the Senior side this season! If our forwards have a good match tomorrow in Sydney, you will be overlooked and rightly so.... Show some effort.... If only you put the same amount of effort in chasing and tackling as you do into trying to take hangers and falling over, you would be up in Canberra as we speak!!

Lift your game Boy!!!

It's a shame Buckley can't hit teammates like he splits the middle of the goals when he kicks on the run. I really enjoy watching Buckley play, and he is one of the few Melbourne players who can pick the ball up below his knees with speed and run away from packs, but his decision making is still a worry.

With 11 changes from last week and only a few Melbourne listed players, against a ( Richmond loaded ) Coburg, Casey was sensational in winning today.

Peter German has moulded together a great team and football club.

Yes we we're, but Coburg we're by the same measure, very average, very average indeed.

There were quite a few Coburg players that were playing for their careers today and I doubt that many of them will be there next year after this effort today. Casey were great today, they tackled, harassed and pressured Coburg and that's why they won.

Pettifer went down with looked like a career ending knee injury. Some of the supposed Richmond name players were awful today.

Macnamara didnt play

Buckley imo played well, produced good run and attack on the ball and linked up well, disposal not as good though was very windy conditions.

Spencer didnt have much impact on the game, but would pass as ok.

Zomer kicked a cracker of a goal, were he ran right passed a couple of opponents and kicked a goal, didnt doto much other than that.

Liddle was pretty good small speedy kind of player put his head ovre the ball a few times , was good.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
