Strip for Friday

Guessing we will opt (be forced) to wear the white strip on Friday?

That's what i was thinking. Wearing the red against Essendon would be a clash in the eyes of the AFL one would assume, given their track record on demands for clubs.

In place of "Grand Ol' Flag", let's go with The Clash

White riot - I wanna riot

White riot - a riot of my own

White riot - I wanna riot

White riot - a riot of my own

Black (and red) man gotta lot a problems

But they don't mind throwing a brick

White people go to school (Brighton Grammar)

Where they teach you how to [kick]

An' everybody's doing

Just what they're told to

An' nobody wants

To go to jail!

Gutless friggin' AFL: won't give us a home match against Essendon (3 years in a row!) to avoid making a fuss.

Correct weight... They've been avoiding this clash, because the bomber's clash jumper clashes with our home jumper more.

What's gonna happen in a couple of years, when we face off in the finals? Heaven forbid, a grand final. Hopefully, we're in a strong financial position by then that we can stand up to the AFL if they want to force us to wear the clash jumper when we shouldn't have to, like North at the moment.

Having said that, I actually thought the white looked better than the red, however I do agree a red and blue jumper would be ideal...

I still think a reversal of our colours would've been best.

Good point. Overlooked by many.

NOTE: - Maybe Mike Sheahan, Damien Barrett & Co. could highlight this in their next articles.

So what happens we we get a home game against Essendon? Do we wear white again?

No. We wear our traditional Red & blue. Let the AFL cop the criticism and Essendon for not designing a suitable clash jumper v Melbourne; StKilda.

This is what the AFL are trying to avoid.

That could only come from a female LOL :D

Yeah we tend to like it when footy teams support us  .......

But if anyone saw the league this weekend pink was out in force when Penrith played Manly

- it looked like the circus, between the Panthers bright pink kit and the Sea Eagles dying their facial hair!!!

Then they need to toughen the hell up and tell the likes of Essendon and particularly Collingwood to suck it up and get it done.

I found it easy to pick out my team in the 2000 Grand Final, The AFL are a disgrace with this Jumper Issue.

BTW When do the Sydney Swans EVER wear a clash Jumper????

We should never have to wear a white Jumper. They are the colours of Footscray QED

They don't really clash with anyone......

This is only an issue for those clubs who have very similar colours or designs in their jumper, ie Colllingwood and North.

We are close to a couple of other clubs and therefore we and they should have a jumper organised.

Although I hate the idea of this being used as an away strip that is not needed.

And I also can't work out who Hawthorn clash with?

Look I am not comfortable with doing it but if it helps the club..........

Is it some sort of fundraiser...........or protest thing?

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
