Love it, believe thats my new Avatar!

Jaded's avatar is similar.

'Collingwood gets a bad case of the Jack' might be more beneficial to their supporters, as it will give them an answer to that irritating itch they've had for a while.

If we lose, and he doesn't see much of it...

"Watts the big deal?"

Sorry, to ruin the love-in.

I'll do a positive one...

"Watts the story, monday glory"

I just threw up a little, I hate headline humour. It's too easy.

that's a good one... the best so far...

"That's Watt I'm talkin bout!"

Watts going on?

Wattssss upppp??

Jack of all trades

Watts kicks 6 on QB, only to follow up with an A+ on his exam the next day

Watts the matter you?

Mick Malthouse looking dee-pressed after a Jack Watts inspired Melbourne thrashes Collingwood and any chances of a top 4 finish

Jaded's avatar is similar.

I don't think anyone gets it, so here's a bigger version:

the-saviour2.gif

I'm gonna change it to the Homer one I made before (when I should have been revising for exams  ), because that expresses perfectly how I feel about J2!

already one on the herald sun website:

"Jack-pot: Watts to play against Pies"

If he takes a speccy it should be "Jack in a Box"

but I'll be more than happy just for a win

There are so many options for headlines. A picture of a glum Mick Malthouse could be headed with 'Watts wrong Mick?'

And for something a little different:

Jumpin' Jack Watts

Star recruit puts in his bid for Mark of the Year as Dees stun Pies

Jacks Aces.

We've got two of them out there after all.

You realise this is actuallty the perfect game for Jack Grimes to go berserk out there. He's had a bit of time to find his feet, been very good already.

And he's been waiting most of his life for a chance to personally thump Collingwood, like a true Demon.

Jack Grimes to get this week's Rising Star Nomination, while Watts does a few nice things in a solid debut with a couple of promising contested marks that keep us all drooling for the future.

Is that too much to ask?

Watt the f@@k was that!!

I was thinking that too. I'm with you on this one. Quick someone give me the Sportsbet number for the most possessions for Grimesy.....

No, it's not too much to ask. And those Rising Star judges for nominees better take note this weekend (on Monday ;) ). Or we will all be on their case on Tues/Wed next week. It's been some time since the Dees last nomination - can't remember who.. We're due.

I hope Jack Grimes can become the Glen Archer of the Dees with the John Worsfold looks, with a blend of Riccuito & Ayres as well. ;)

Is that too much to ask? :o

Hungry Jack's Whopper Debut

Melbourne's No.1 draft pick Jack Watts kicks 5 as the Dee's bury the Pies.

Or...

Jacks of all Trades

Melbourne young guns Jack Grimes and Jack Watts show that the future is bright down at Demonland.

BLACK JACK

he is the ace of the '08 draft

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
