he seems pretty mature hey! he did really well.. good answers!

funny he outlined that crazy goal he kicked in the last quarter for caseys was a fluke he was aiming for the centre!

also said he is good mates with both butcher and scully.. he paused for a second almost as if to say it would be good to have both join him in the dees..but held off haha

thanks for the heads up nugget jones!

Young Master Watts has just become the player that I would most like to haver at a dinner party. He dealt with the hosting panel with ease and almost completely free of sound bites. Yet another example of what an impressive young man he is. As Hutchinson said, he is likely to be hosting the show in a couple of years and who would doubt it. He seemed to lick his lips at the prospect of Scully and Butcher coming to the club

just saw it...

speaks very very well. He was interviewd on "TAC Cup - Future Stars" which is a new show on channel 9 (i think it might be a one off). Hosted by Hutchy.

He was asked about his program and he talked about his time management and how he has Thurdays off school. He says he didnt mean that goal for Casey, and how his eyes were looking inwards.

Talked about having two protein shakes a day.

He is good mates with scully and butcher.

Wishes sam blease the best in his recovery who just had surgery...

Woo Hoo!!!

What do we win if we got it right?

Yeah it's a weekly show, if it was anyone else but hutchy it would be great!! Missed most of it.. did they mention butchers 6 yesterday?

yeah from what i saw they had a recap for the game and mentioned he kicked 6 and said 'this kid will be a real star' or something along those lines

Watts is a fantastic media peformer. Lets hope he is as impressive at AFL level - but I have no doubts he will be a champion based on what I have seen of him so far - Elite junior at both Basketball and AFL - not to mention leadership skills!

Can't remember, but the whole program looks to be a weekly fluff piece.

All filler, very little real content.

Terribly boring interviews with kids that act like a deer-in-headlights.

The most you could possible glean is a name, position and see a couple of poorly packaged highlights.

Let's hope it improves, but when you think about it, how can it?

They have little to work with other than hype and all they seem to do is make it more apparent that this is all it is.

Its also important to remember that it is a TAC Cup show -- they are only focusing on Victorian kids.

When you consider the top 10 from last year's draft - 4 from WA, 2 from SA - it only highlights how pointless this program is.

have no idea what you guys are on about. It had a ripping interview with Jack Watts (the best Watts interview that's been done), a good interview with Sam Mitchell, as well as a funny bloopers clip from his recent tv commercial...not to mention footage of Watts at the aps game, footage of butcher on the weekend as well as Christensen...footage that is practically unavailable anywhere else. loved the show

Its only for Victorians. WE (adelaide) people dont get to see it.

Well then you are easily pleased and content isn't on your list of priorities.

Mitchell told you nothing insightful in that interview (he has come a long way since a junior? really? wow), seconds of poor footage from APS and TAC Cup games that showed nothing of any players football ability, and then it turned into a 15minute infomercial for TAC. Tell me - whats their new slogan again..?

Obviously you just enjoy getting sucked in with the hype.

The only bit of real interest was the brief Watts interview and being able to glean a couple of extra names to keep an eye on.

You probably like So You Think You Can Dance and Fattest Loser too, with all their contrived drama and minimal substance.

Anyway, I shouldn't complain, if I don't like it, I just won't watch it - I'm just disappointed its an hour of my life I'll never get back.

That and the fact I should've known better.

Kobi Stevens from Gippsland Power and Jordy Gysberts from Eastern Rangers.

Interesting call on Gysberts.

Almost a 100% guarantee to be drafted but there's a lot of people around that don't think his "AFL potential" quite lives up to his U18 record.

Still a good player though

He was just being modest... ;)

Of course he meant to centre it (tongue firmly implanted in cheek).

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
