INJURY LIST

At its lowest level for some time ...

MELBOURNE

  • Daniel Bell (concussion) test
  • Colin Garland (foot) indefinite
  • Brad Green (broken jaw) 3-5 weeks
  • Mark Jamar (foot) 2 weeks
  • Paul Wheatley (quadriceps tear) 3 weeks

BUT (as usual) it doesn't mention a few players who missed last week through injury:

  • Liam Jurrah
  • Jake Spencer
  • James Strauss

How many different injuries does Daniel Bell have? didn't he have a broken thumb, and something else as well?

Came back last week after a broken thumb, and obviously suffered a concussion during the match.

That boy cannot get a break... that doesn't involve bones.

Hopefully he gets up this week and goes another round at Casey. If nothing else, it puts pressure on the players getting a game in the seniors, which is always a good thing.

The 'Colin Garland- Indefinite' line makes me sick to my stomach every time I see it! :(

These players didnt miss through injury.

Jurrah is not ready

Spencer missed because Meesen is playing decent football.

Not sure about Strauss though.

Neither Jurrah or Strauss were named at Casey last week in seniors or reserves, so maybe thats what the OP was getting at.

Paul Wheatley (quadriceps tear) 3 weeks......

What is going on with Wheatley. He was listed as 4 weeks away in round 1. 4 weeks later and he is still supposedly 3 weeks away from being right?

He was one of our best players last year and we sorely miss him.

In a backline that is starting to look defensively very solid, but limited in terms of creative play, skill and rebound potential(bartram, warnock, frawley and martin all have at best questionable kicking skills), wheatley's long runs and good disposal would be a real boost to our side.

I failed to see the humour in that monty.......if in fact it was a joke. There is already alot of p****d off people with respect to what's happened to Blease.

No Joke, same source that was wrong about the valenti elivation, They were right about the PW LTI. I take big offence to what has happened by being sensered. Why is the blease post not blocked. Lift your game admin!

Then take offense, that's your choice.

If anybody posts about a players serious injury without knowing it to be true then they will be banned if it is subsequently proven to be wrong. That's the responsibility of posting.

Just for the record we have banned posters for a year when they have done similar things. Think yourself lucky.

not that any of these injuries are soft tissue but I would be very happy to see the back of boban babechick (or however you spell it). The rumours were that Hawthorn were pleased to get rid of him and I cannot see anything amazing he has done with the demons. Throughout his time we have had a long injury list which we cannot afford to have in the next few years when we start looking to play in finals.

It may not have come to your attention but Bodhan is no longer on the conditioning or medical team. The injuries this year are nothing to do with him.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
