  1. I wouldve thought the same to be honest. However I guess that all depends on what subjects he is doing. I know when I did my VCE 5 years ago I didnt have any mid year exams. Just SAC's and stuff like that. So maybe he is doing a lot of Humanities subjects which generally dont have mid years??? Maybe our current VCE'ers could shed some light
  2. Bell has had years to settle down and have a crack it it I'm afraid Sleeve. How many years has he been around now? I thought he was woeful the other night. Coughed it up and just doesnt have a good footy brain. Unfortunately for Bell I think he is destined to be an average AFL footballer but a star at VFL level. Hasnt taken the next step and doesnt look loike he will. IMHO he can go back to the magoos.
  3. Played in the Casey Magoos last week I believe.
  4. Rohan Bail for mine. when he is fit. not sure how he went over the weekend.
  5. My dad saw McLaren with his young children in a park near Balwyn. My dad said he couldnt believe it when he saw the kids having a kick of the footy while 'Daddy' was umpiring the same way as if he was on TV. "No you've fallen into his back..thats a free..can't do that". What a [censored]. Pity those children
  6. Whats wrong with just reversing the jumper when we have percieved clash games. very simply red swaps with blue and blue swaps with red. Result: blue yolk and red bottom..seems easy enough to me.
  7. yeah the Dob in a Demon campaign was somethinh that was raised at the Youth Summit Nugget. so i only know what was said on that day. The idea is that every football supporter, whether the are Melbourne followers or not, are going to be asked to Dob in a Demon. That means report to the club any supporter you know supports the DEES but isnt a member. Hamish Blak is going to plugthe campaign and i would say it will be on the Footy Show or perhaps before the game. You will be asked to give the club the phone number of a demon supporter so the club can contact them etc .. hope this helps paints a picture
  8. watch the way bruce drops the ball..takes both hands off at the same time. bad kicking action. that'll explain it. but is a good kick around the body aka snap coz he keeps the second hand on the ball until it reaches his boot
  9. IN: Maric, Bail, Dunn OUT: Bennel, Mclean, Bartram Really hoping that Rohan Bail gets the nod this week. He is a mature age player for a first year draftee. From all reports had a good solid game at Casey. I like Bennel and think he will be better after a few weeks back at Casey while he gets up to speed with the pace at AFL. Bail for mine should be the one given a go this week. He plays off a flank/winger/possible midfielder.oves well..saw a lot of hime in the QAFL when i was living up there first half of last year. Also Adam Maric will add some flavour to a tasteless forward line..we need a roving ype forward in there. too often the ball spills and the opposition have numbers and clear it too easily.. i sneaky type like Maric will add some pressure down there. He does need to work on his defensive side tho but still worth a run IMHO.
  10. Anyone have any photos of our boys from yesterday? also what jumpers were the Sorps wearing?
  11. i rekon that looks pretty good to me Febes..i mean we are only a few hundred off the Cats who are the reigning Premiers. imagine if we cant beat there memberships after rd 1. Stick it to the AFL. Just wondering tho where did u get that figure? i looked at the MFC website and the counter still says 22,833. I have seen the 24,000 figure floated around and think it may have been in an email update too. can u confirm the figure source plz.
  12. i actually cant believe people are that concerned about fantasy footy and not about Grimes' wellbeing and his playing future. i used to sit with with a mate taht was like you blokes, once we were being flogged all his talk turned to praising and watching opposition players to see how his Drem Team was fairing. I couldnt give a hoot about that. so does anyone know any more info on Grimes/ or have we drafted another one of thos blokes who sits on our list and never plays senior footy?????
  13. aahhhhhhhhh Nutz!!! i really hope that this isn't another Garry Lyon type!! saw him against Swans and he looked really good..if this is a season ending i will be devo dont like when this stuff comes up..all too often we see 2-3 weeks appearing in the paper for 10 weeks!!
  14. think about it..we announce the first major sponsor now and they cop a heap of publicity and then the next sponsor gets equal publicity..secondary announcement means that the companies dont share the spotlight. Smart marketing ploy.
  15. its better to have them singin it after a pre-season win than seeing us sing it 10 times at the 150 year game against Collingwood last year after we were spanked...
  16. I am seriously hoping that we can nail a deal with Virgin or V Australia..whatever Branson's new project is called...I love the Virgin brand and Branson is a man who is innovative and would seemingly love to help a down and out footy club...truth of the matter is that its pretty unlikely this will happen..but lets hope..the guy is known for whackier things and loves a publicity stunt E ven if Virgin arn't the new sponsors i seriously hope that Jimmy and the board at least approached the guy while he was here promoting himself and his empire!!
  17. great idea.. dont know about the placement tho..i would prefer to see it on the back of the jumper..not on the front..with jumper sponsor, merch sponsor afl logo etc its crowded enough already. the only other place i might like to see it is above/under chest sponsor and it would have to be the MFC traditional emblem with 1858
  18. I already mentioned this on Demonology but Jim indicated I believe that Hamish may be involved with trying to get PINK(pop-star) in a MFC jumper when she come out here soon. Would be excellent publicity. Kids love PINK , especially young girls.
  19. I was aware of this and have found that the Olympic Stand squad run by Angelo (mohawk Dee's supporter) is a far more welcoming place than the behind the goals cheersquad. One stime last year I attempted to join the cheersquad behind the goals and was tolled to pizz off. It was after half time, the seats were unfilled and these arse whole 'suppoorters' were more interested in the politics of the seating arrangements than filling the seats and having a united cheersquad. They were two old ducks that had a go at us and I fired back. IMO these are the types that shouldnt be allowed tobe members of the squad..they alienate people and are more concerned with their own agendas than supporting the club. I too was at the Youth Summit but obviously wasnt in your group. Had I have heard this raised I wouldve raised the issue with Jim. he needs to know about this.
