Im very keen on knowing how blease and strauss are going.

Someone already has started a thread on blease wich is good.

Whats the news with him hows he been going in the twos?

FRom what ive seen our top 3 pics are the least ive seen of but IMO hoping to be the three most important players to helping us get to that premiership.

Any news would be very apreciated.

Straussy did his knee a while back, had a game in the 2's a few weeks ago and did his shoulder. neither injury are serious but is still recovering

I thought it was his ankle ?

Really looking forward to seeing this kid in action. From what I saw last yr, he's got great kicking skills and good pace. Exactly what we need.

How is he struggling with the physical side of the game Mclean4Brownlow? As in he is panicking when about to be tackled and therefore rushing his disposals? Or he isn't going in hard enough himself to get ball?

What do you mean, tackling side of things & knocks to the body? I hope not. I understand he's young, but these attributes are pre-requisites for playing AFL. Please, please, please be a good pick 19.........I'm now having visions of Zaharakis' match winning goal against Collingwood thanks to your post.

Yeah I wanted Swift or Zaharakis. Strauss has an amazing kick on him though, would have thought we would have seen him by now.

Worth watching the youtube highlights to remind you what we are waiting for.

Struggling with the physical side, as in, the problems holding him back are injuries and fitness.

Even Whelan is playing in the Casey 2s coming back from injury -- does he not go in hard enough??

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill.     Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
