Master Watts to debut for Casey Next Week

I'm tipping a spike in the Scorpions gate takings for next week!

Hope so; they'll have to be non-MFC members though to boost the gate takings.

Match is at 7:00pm next Saturday night v Port Melbourne (who beat last year's Premiers [North Ballarat] today by 78 points).

It's our only night game for the H&A season.

Something tells me there might be a half decent crowd at the game next Saturday night...

I'm pretty excited about this! Where is the game? Port melbourne or Casey?

It really disappoints me that this isn't a saturday arvo game so we can't sit in the comfort of out own couch and critique and dissect his game from home. He're hoping it all goes well for him!

Good Luck to him..... Hopefully he just takes the pressure in his stride.... Plenty of time to worry about tearing up the paddock later in the year..... Just enjoy the game!!

Hope he can play good footy there, then push for senior selection in the second half of the season. But since he is playing for Casey earlier then there`s a chance If he plays good footy at Casey then he can get into the senior team earlier than expected. Can`t wait to Watts gets a run in the seniors. Like Robbo said, "The next David Neitz".

He may.

I know he was able to train more with the group during his school holidays (from an article/interview with Bailey) so I'm just wondering whether he'll play for Casey the next couple of weeks and then go back to the previous routine of school etc or continue to play for Casey and just train while he can

I've read somewhere that they're yet to map out exactly where he will play his footy during this season. It will be a mix of Brighton Grammar and Casey, but the club is yet to negotiate with the school from what I read.

Regardless of where he plays his footy, he'll get a debut at some stage with the Demons. You'd imagine the earliest opportunity would be during the June school holidays, after he's done his mid-year exams.

Spewing that I've got something on that day, but will be checking my iphone every two minutes for updates from Demonland.

It'll probably be the best game of football Melbourne supporters are likely to see this year.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
