IMO we need clearance players more than we need yet another speculative tall to clog up the list, and the club clearly agrees given they passed on quite a few talls on draft day.

We have plenty of talls in development, but only one quality inside-mid in McLean. Additionally, the likelihood of finding a decent tall in the PSD are slim, but there could be a ball winning machine hiding in there just waiting for a chance.

Well if its an inside mid we need then cousins is the answer, but i'm not going to [censored] that horse again!!!

(Mclean, Maloney, Jones, Valenti?) Hard ball winners is not the issue from where I was sitting last year it was finishing that hurt us last year and I think the club to a step in the right direction on SAT to solve this. Therefore a KPF

I think we took a great mix in the draft and must take a bit of a punt on CS in the PSD. The Risk could be well worth it!

not a chance in hell. he cant kick. as you should be able to tell by the players we drafted this year, we simply dont want anyone that cant kick

Well said.

With Craig Cameron drafting too many players with kicking deficiencies, its great how Bailey understands in the modern game you cant win flag with players with poor foot skills.

De Boer is a no goer.

De Boer is a no goer.

 Is a ball magnet. His disposal at times lets him down. Which is why he was overlooked in the ND.

In that case I hope Carlton pick him up.

If Deboer could get his kicking in order he would be a very very good player.

I still want Sibasado but would not be unhappy to pick up young Matthew.

It is my opinion that any AFL coaching staff that can't help a kids kicking needs to find another job.

Its no wonder Richo has had so many coaches for his goal kicking...

thats what a club hires biomechanics experts for... & they still didn't do too much for MFC last year

one boy i think we should look into for a rookie pick is a boy called alex carter. he has a great kick. great hands and is a very good runner. also has a real sense of grit and courage about him. i know we have picked up a couple of these players but imo, he is worth a punt with a rookie pick

If we were interested in Sibosado, why wouldn't we have taken him in the draft?

If anyone else was interested, why wouldn't they have jumped in after we passed?

I don't think anyone is that interested. Could it be he is no good? Other issues?

DeBoer or Hughes for me.

Those exact same points could be made for every single player that will be taken in he preseason & rookie drafts (that were eligible for the ND)

Your points prove nothing.

rockliff looks ok, but is similar to a few others we already have on the list.

Sibosado could be anything or could be nothing, so for mine the risk is still worth going for Sibosado as all players left have been overlooked for one reason or another at this point.

I want sibosado or rockliff

but MFC like to make weird decisons and love blokes that cant kick... eg. godfrey, bell, bartram, brown etc so dont be surprised if they take De Boer!!!!!!!

Tried to search for this news item through the threads but couldn't find anything, so I don't think it may have been posted as a news link.......so here it is, it's in relation to Nick Davis & Brisbane (The AGE - Real Footy/Fairfax) for the Pre-Season Draft. He could be finished...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
