Ok it is nearly midday. The trade period finishes at 2pm. Anybody know what is going on?

Brad Green needs to make his decision TODAY! For the sake of himself and the Melbourne Football. It would be totally unfair if we end up losing Brad Green for nothing! :(

I really hope a few deals get done today.

Any news please put it here!

Rhys Shaw and pick 61 to Swans for pick 46 to Collingwood.

Massive trade news. B)

At least he can't end up at Melbourne now.

Anthony Corrie from Brisbane to Collingwood for pick 92. Bargain.

Gee, that is a bargain. I'd imagine the Filth would be happy.

Farren Ray and 48 to St Kilda for 31.

good win for the dogs.

Saints really love former 1st round draftees.

that is a huge bargain! Corrie played 20 games this year.

We have enough sub-standard footballers on our list without adding Corrie. Assuming he's contracted, it's a good move by Brisbane to get rid of a dud contract.

Collingwood's Rhyce Shaw deal is a real nothing one, unless Shaw plays some good football for Sydney over the next couple of years.

As for the Ray deal, both teams supporters would probably feel happy with this, but in reality have gained little. The Saints fans will learn how ordinary Ray is, and the upgrade of 48 to 31 isn't massive for the Dogs.

corrie is a ripper deal!!!

wish we thought of that!!

With Davey, Wonaemirri and Maric, there's no need.

i think the upgrade is quite substantial quite frankly!!!

if corrie went for pick 93

then we might as well give carroll away

Spot on Pants.

And HT raises good points about existing options we have.

I am no fan of Corrie who just does not work hard defensively and goes missing when the heats on. He may have played 20 games this year (and some were very ordinary) but Brisbane must know something if they were prepared to offload him for nothing.

No, it's not massive for the Dogs, you're quite right. But it's a upgraded pick that can be worthwhile for them, they have already learnt much about Ray, they will see it significant for them in terms of the draft.

did we just see eye to eye HT?

hahah thats a first.....

lowering picks is a massive plus with the quality in this draft

Pants is right and your logic does not follow. Corrie went because someone was prepared to be speculative with him. I have not seen that with Carroll. And I would not rely on a vague one liner in the Hun.

At least he'll add some run through the middle, hes semi-quick as well, something the Swans need.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
