Seaby quits Eagles

Dean Irving mark II ?

He looked terrible at the G against Jamar. But in reality it was a typical game.

Here are the stats of Jamar and Seaby in 2008. They're remarkably similar and Jamar probably edges him :o

No thanks.

Seaby kicks goals as well as rucks.

Jamar muffs shots at goals from 5 metres out.

Ignore 2008, Jamar is not fit enought to polish Seaby's boots.

Richmond is apparently in the lead for Seaby's services - Tigers leading the hunt for Eagles big man and you won't believe it but Caaaaarlton is in the hunt for him as well:

His manager Wayne Loxley said the Tigers were showing the most interest, with Carlton also in the hunt.

The Blues have also put in a bid to lure Cooper Cronk away from the Melbourne Storm and are believed to be considering trialling Usain Bolt as an international rookie. The trio will play for next to nothing but will be excused from training once a week to fulfill their commitments to the Visy Environmental Safety Programme.

As long as my arse points to the ground I will never defend Jamar.

Don't forget that Seaby gets less game time than Jamar. Seaby is a no. 2 ruckman, Jamar is a no.1. I guess there's room to improve when you've been stuck behind a much better ruckman for your whole career.

If he comes for a low pick, at $250,000 I reckon he'd be alright. You'd think the coaches would have their eye on Roughhead at 17 or 19 as another ruck along with the young Spencer.

On Perth radio last night that Mark Seaby has quit the Eagles.

This could put a new slant on the Warnock saga with another 200cm ruckman in the mix. He's played more games, can play forward and did a good job for them in the ruck when Cox was injured. We could do worse.

I am glad youre not my uncle.

stay away from seaby, he is not what he is hyped up to be, he is jamar v.2. He had his chance to prove himself this year with cox injured, but instead was in and out of the side. The eagles are trying to offload him to another club, because seaby's chances will be gone after they draft naitanui.

Does that mean he would have to nominate for the Draft, because he can't nominate for psd?

No. Seaby is contracted to WE for 2009, but wants to leave, to be traded. The only way this can happen is if WE trade him. He can't enter the ND or PSD.

Kerr signed a contract extension too in case anyone didn't know

He's been offered a 3 yr extension by WE. To my knowledge, he has not signed off on it. He wants a 4 yr extension. Ed.: Kerr has signed with WE.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
