We get to choose clash jumper

Look mate, on the post just above you, Demon32 making the exact same mistake that I have just spoken about, and he/she goes for the Dees!

CARLTONS logo looks like OURS!!!

We are always batting on about how we deserve a bit of respect, its time WE started respecting ourselves.

Listen, we all know it is our original logo, problem is that it isn't our logo anymore, it isn't on our jumper etc. So we can't really lay total claim to it, it's actually the MCC's logo adapted.I like both but the bottom line is while it may have been our logo first, in a way we abandoned it and now it is seen by everyone as Carltons logo.

Im sorry, and I as well as other people know it is ours originally, fact of the matter is in the greater publics view and most of our younger supporters, it's Carltons clash jumper with red instead. Sucks, yes. Unavoidable, yes.

Stupid AFL. Team A has red in their jumper and Team B has red also. Panic stations.

Why don't the bumbres widen or shrink the sash and Melbourne widen or shrink the V when they meet.

A is really really bad. FGS Keep it Simple. B.

Voted B....but livid that the Vlad and his fascists have this white away strip fixation...our away strip would be THAT much better if it were on an all red background!

Can't do it guys. I'm a bit like the Collingw&%$ and Scum supporters. I'm a traditionalist and I'm not voting for white.

Give me a red and blue jumper to vote on.

I think "A" will win because a lot of us will not vote. And it will be Shite!

Call me pathetic too if you like High Tower, I'm used to it.

Folks keep in mind this need only be our clash guernsey for 2 years..it can change again..undoubtedly will.

Maybe we get the white with logo... then get the Red with blue logo later.... But lets get the Traditon of this club firmly rooted into peoples minds first...

stealth and baby steps..

plan B fo rme :)

Come on people, email your family and friends and get them to vote on B. I'm in an office and i've already got a few people to do it for me and i'll vote again when i get home. If they want the demon back it's got to be something fresh, that one is rubbish.

Option B is slowly pulling ahead. 51% to 49% now

Why should I? You're entitled to your opinion, just like anyone else. And I'm sure you have some positive things to say occassionally, unlike a few, who seem to post negative opinions every post regardless of the topic.

I'm a little perplexed and confused as to why the club has given a choice of two to the members/supporters. Personally I would prefer a predominantly red with blue Mfc on front - with no white at all. It's been worn before...

There both absoloutly horrible.

Im a graphic designer, and I just think this is bad design. The Demon looks sick and option B just simply looks poor.

We must understand that the AFL's criteria is very strict on this matter, and its important we arent to fussy.

B will have to do.

HT..I believe the concensus here was that one.. red with blue logo was the forums choice.. if not the LOGICAL one..

It irks me that this was forwarded to the club any number of times..and yet doesnt appear as a choice.

Anyone with an IN to the club.. 'why is this SO ?????'

12:57pm update: B is winning 51% to A 49%!

Edit: Yes BB, I think Adrian Anderson has been deleting, he must be behind the paragraph: -

"It is an AFL requirement for the basis of the clash strip to be a light colour, so as to avoid clashes with other clubs whose players wear a dark strip."

To everyone who is saying "why do we have to wear white, I'm not going to vote because it's not red & blue", this is the reason; The AFL has made a rule that WE CANT wear the red jumper - otherwise we would be still wearing it!

Unfair as the rules are (and I agree - they are), but - we have to play by the rules!!

Too all those people who wont vote - dont sulk & cry later if you dont like it! You had the chance to vote & you didnt - tough!

IMO, option B is better. Yes, we do want the Demon back (& it will be back) - but, we need to get back to the MFC logo. It equals TRADITION!

Agreed.

The AFL never had a problem with this one.

Ok i am voting in the next 10 minutes

Im leaning towards B..

But....

The only thing that worrys me...when we do play carlton... wont it look more like an intra-club match lol?

Interesting to see other team supporters opinions on bigfooty..

*First one isn't too bad, although it does resemble the phantom of the opera tribute team a little

*Easily the first one

*I prefer B. A looks like some kind of pirate.

*The seond one for mine. Looks classier.

*I like them both they look better than most clash strips

and would probably be the best white guernsey going around

*I prefer the concept of A (good to see the demon back, keeps the V/yoke design in its own way), but whoever said that the old demon was better is spot on.

i saw on bigfooty someone saying some guy did a design of a demon logo within 30 min saying he could do better than the one we had this year. Seriously i cant believe we payed like 1 million bucks ( thats what people were reporting) for that logo this year, wonder why we are in debt!!

But anyway i found the logo the guy made- not sure if its been shown here but i REALLY like it? Anyone else?

EDIT- I voted for B

354 Votes- 51 =49% to B Favour at the moment

B, with its classic look, is miles better. A is rubbish. Hannabal is right: we've had the MFC logo for years, stuff Carlton. So what if the Bloos - and the Brizroy logo for Melbourne games, for that matter - are similar. In fact, EVERY club that came from the VFL probably has a similar styled logo in their history, or even right now on their stationery.

A looks like it should be the Bulldogs alternate strip.

Having said that, Bub's such a convincing barstool, I might lean toward "B" and vote for it... only because it's stealthy and baby step-like!

Geez I feel like I've been neutered by Filth and Scum though!

I would have though that the reason that so many people were upset about the silver things, wasn't necessarily becuase of its deign but rather that it wasn't just red and blue.

Would that be a fair assumption?

No, it wouldn't be; it just looked rubbish.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya?
